I can run a 8:46 mile. I am highly smart and intelligent. I am nowledgeable of firearms and own several. I can regularly hit the center of a target from 100+ yards.

I think I have the dedication and commitment to be a marine. I want to be a marine leader and charge into combat to save future marine brothers.

Hahaha, I'm an out of shape piece of shit and I can run 1 1/2 miles in 12:30

? ? ?
>>
>>31312650
Most decent middle school kids can run under 8. You're doing pretty well considering you are probably in elementary.
>>
>>31312650
>I can run a 8:46 mile.
Is this a joke?
>>
>>31312650
Your mile time is shit
My fastest mile was 6:54 and I was slow as shit compared to the serious PT studs
>>

>>31312671
>>31312721
you shouldn't be disrespectful to people that are going to fight to maintain your freedom.
>>
>>31312791
I fucking hope so. I run better than that now and I'm a fat asshole.
>>
>>31312650

Army 300 pt score (perfect) is 13:00 two miles. You better be able to do that easy, any day of the week.

Army Air Assault end ruck march is 12 miles in three hours with a 35 ish pound ruck. That better be childs play to you.

8:46 is ten seconds off a failing score per mile in the Army running, you need to get 2 miles in 15:56. You are slow as dirt. You are fatty slow.

You need to get your two mile down to like 12 min.
>>
>>31312808
Just curious, what were kind of numbers were those niggas pushing? 6min mile? 25 pull ups?
>>
marines our already special forces

boot camp is on the same level of Rasp so a marine boot is equivalent to a SF ranger
>>
>>31312650
Look. Keep training, take EMT classes, hell, go to college and grab an associate's degree. Most community colleges are great for this.
Then, when you have taken your EMT-B, when you can run two miles in 12:00, when you can do any non-zero amount of pullups from a dead hang, and can pound out 80+sit-ups and push-ups in under a minute, walk up to that recruiting office and walk right the hell away.
Go be an EMT, work in a field that actually makes money, and realize that being able to tell the difference between an AKM and an AK-74SU means exactly jack-fucking-shit when it comes to combat.

Oh, and just so we're clear. Being able to hit a bull's eye at 100 yds on a stress-free, square range, on a target that doesnt shoot back is all well and good, but that is not the standard.
>>
>>31313019
That fastest guys ran about 5:30 mile and did about 30 pull ups
But when they crash, man they crash hard
>>
>>31312650
>How do I become a marine special forces?
So, you are interested in joining MARSOC?
>>
>>31313075
I thought Marines were special forces?
>>
>>31313207
No
>>
>>31313207
special forces specifically refers to the army's special forces group/green berets

marines are considered special operations forces which SF falls under
>>
>>31313042
>be an EMT
>make real money

As an AEMT I make jack shit. Go to college.
>>
>>31313060
Is it better to be slow and steady, that kind of paced mindset? It seems nice to be a stud but if you burn out quickly, beat your body up, it seems counterproductive.
>>
>>31313042
EMT is about as shitty a grind as marine infantry.
>actually makes money
ha, not really, if you do manage to get trained and hired as a full Paramedic (after 2 years working for free), expect to hit a low ceiling.
>>
>>31313408
They didnt burn out quickly, any day of the week they would have most definitely out ran me whether it was distance or sprints
I'm talking about total exhaustion
Maybe I'm just weak minded, but I always slowed down before that point
But these guys went hard 100% of the time
So when they reached total exhaustion, they were out
>>
>>31312650
OP, where did you get that picture. I think I actually see myself in the second column, top row. If that's me, I'm the one with my face turned.
>>
>>31312920

You should clean your bathroom with bleach and comet.
>>
>>31312989
Marines run 3 miles, failing time is 28 minutes. An 8:24 mile isn't ideal, but it will get you into/through boot
>>
Join the Coast Guard. Then you'll be a true marine.
>>
>>31312920
Dude stfu. If your defending my freedom It will take 4 destroyers draging your fat ass on a barge to get you anywhere near an operation.
>>
>>31313604
Just did some research on the picture, it's from 2006, I was in boot in 2009, so not me. Still, that person looks close enough to fool me. Does anybody know how to find and kill your doppelganger?
>>
>>31313464
Is there a weight lifting component? Cause I can do a 545 mile and 20 pullups righr now, but I'm 5'7 so benchpress is a bitch
>>
>>31313719
For a Marine PFT it's Pullups, crunches, 3 mile run. There is the fall and winter test called the CFT which has lifting and carrying.

>>
>>31313734
Just looked at this and it's mostly endurance so it's doable i believe without killing myself training
>>
>>31313772
Oh absolutely. Almost all military tests are a joke if you actually train for them. When I was going through Corporals Course I got a perfect score CFT no problem and I was a lanklet.

A buddy of mine went through BUD/S in the early 90's, somewhere around class 185 or 186. He held the class record for the 4 mile beach run at 24:00 flat. Keep in mind that was in boots and pants, running in wet sand next to the water, not exactly ideal conditions. He's a bit of a mutant, 6'3", lean, but with ridiculous upper body strength.

sub six club here
USAF pt text is a bit different one min push one min sit 1.5 mile and a waist measurement
T. A ptl
>>
>>31313633

What the fuck? 3 miles is 4.8 km, doing that in 28 minutes is like a relaxing jog.

No wonder the muhreens = meatheads with mediocre cardio fitness stereotype exists, that's pathetic.
>>
>>31312650

that's waddling, not running.
>>
>>31313242
>marines are considered special operations
strange way to describe "completely redundant"
>>
>>31315639
Not a marine but that's the fail mark not the 100% mark if you are close to the 28 min mark you will be looked down upon and probably passed over for promotion if it's anything like army or air force
>>
>>31312650
You sound like a faggot.

And that is what makes a great Marine.

Welcome to the Corps, OORAH!
>>
>>31312650
8:46 mile
>slow as shit

Can hit the center of a target at 100 yards
>please tell me that's with irons, because with optics that's no big deal AT ALL

Dedication and commitment
>to be a muhreen

Am highly smart and nowledgeable
>sure you are

In your current state, you wouldn't even hack it for a desk job, let alone MARSOC or force recon, but since you have to be 18 to join the army, you've got a few years to improve
>>
>>31313242
Marines aren't mother fucking Special Operations Forces, asshole, stop perpetuating shit you know nothing about.

MARSOC is a SOF function. The rest of the Marine Corps is simply the mother fucking Marine Corps.

Where the fuck do they find you fucking idiots.
>>
>>31315654
Strange way to describe some WRONG SHIT.

The Marines have some SOF, but the entire Marine Corps is conventional forces, jesus fuck.

Were you dropped on your head as a child? Marines aren't near being considered special forces AT ALL, they're only slightly better than regular infanty. Stress on the "slightly"

And you shouldn't be disrespectful to the buffet employees you fat fucking retard.

Is that literally the best you can do? THAT is what you can run when you are pushing yourself for your record time?

What's your BMI, fucking 40?

>nowledgeable
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

>I can regularly hit the center of a target from 100+ yards.

100ish yards?
<200 yards with a rifle?
Holy shit, what's what you think is good? Jesus Christ that's like the minimum to even be allowed to use a rifle you fucking buffoon.

>>31315765
Air force here, physical shape has nothing to do with promotion. We are a bunch of fat neckbeards, especially leadership.
>>
>>31315892
Correct but he's talking about marines
In the marines and army you can not have a pulse but have a good pt score and still get that next stripe.
>>
It's called MARSOC, you first have to be a marine then you try out for MARSOC then you have to get picked assuming that you passed. Regular marines rifle qual goes out to the 500 yard line and you have to be able to run three miles in the 18 to 20 min time frame and do at least 20 pull ups and 100 crunchs in a min to even have a shot at getting selected. Also have to be good at reading a map and compass plus work well with others. After getting selected you have to learn a foreign language that they choose for you. You also have to pass the water survival/swim qualification but even after all that you're still not guaranteed a combat deployment. - Cpl at USMC.
>>
>>31316966
He is right. Plus you have to pass the pt tryouts. Do a PFT in boots and utilities, swim and then another PFT. Back to back
>>
In your unit you will be notified of marsoc tryouts. They show up about twice a year.
Have a minimum GT score of 105.
Have a minimum PFT of 225.
Be able to pass the MARSOC swim assessment.
Meet the MARSOC medical screening criteria.
Be eligible to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Be willing, upon selection, to make a lateral move to the critical skills operator MOS
>>
I used to run a 12 minute mile as an obese teenager.

After slimming down and having screws in my ankle I can easily run a 9 minute mile.

How fucking slow are you?
>>
>>31315812
100yd is literally what were zeroing at now. It's technically the bare minimum range for table 1 now.
>>
>>31312650
you can walk a full mile?
>>
If you're looking for the Marine "special forces" join the Seals. Marines are a department of the Navy anyhow.
