When you start to be the world supplier of ar mags then you have enough.

You can never have too many ar mags

I have about 30, most loaded and stored in a .50 cal can. I might get more if I do a .300 blackout build, and mark them only for 300 so I don't turn my ar into a grenade. Get more if you find a good deal. There is always a use for more mags.

I've got a bunch and more on the way. I'll finally stop buying them when this batch arrives, because I'm running out of room to store them, and realistically I know I'll never use more than maybe 10 of them in my life. I've only ever taken the same two mags to the range, since I never even load more than 10 rounds at a time anyway.

I've also got a few steel AK mags that came individually wrapped in bags and lightly coated in oil, and I really like that kind of storage. Is there a good way for me to do the same with my aluminum AR mags or should I just not bother since they're aluminum? They've still got a steel spring inside though. I was thinking of just buying some ziplock bags and spraying a little bit of oil in the bag before ironing it shut or something.

Two combat loads, for two reasons, one if you start to wear through your current 7 mags you should be able to replace them over the course of years, or two if you decide you want to equip a less prepped buddy and have them on equal footing.

Plus a few to sell in a panic, because taking money from spooked normies is a tradition at this point

I don't think there's such a thing.

I bought over 40 magazines for my AKs and I feel comfortable having that much. I'd say you can stop at that number. Keep in mind that you may not always be able to get 30 round magazines.

let's do some math.

population of dindus in the states is a little over 41.7 million. assuming you have 30 round mags and are a perfect shot. you would need 1,390,000 AR mags in order to defend your home from chimpageddon.
now, as much as we like to think we're good at shooting, nobody is that good. let's say on a perfect day it would take about three bullets to drop a target completely on average. this is accounting for misses and poor shoot placement. so 10 dindus per mag, maybe less maybe more. this brings our AR mags total up to 417,000.

please note this math was done poorly be somebody day drinking whiskey and only referring to populations for black Americans. please remember, double up on mags in order to remove kebobs and tacos. thank you and have a nice day.

I think I have around 250 split between 2 households and enough m855 in sealed cans to fill them all along with m193 and hornady tap. I just kinda acquired a lot of them through supply and ordering some here and there. A new type of mag would come out so I would order a half dozen and try them out, but I mostly have a variety of pmags...probably 100+ total, and a but ton of gi mags in various conditions. Some exotics here and there like some surefire 60s and lulzy 100 rounders.
