How is ballistol? I never used it, just heard of it
>>31221249
Does anyone have that picture of a bunch of steel plates where they were comparing solvents?
Bumpo
Ballistol
In use since great grandfather Friedrich, cleans the gun, tastes fine
>>31221400
Those were oils.
>>31221249
I use Hopes, I've never had issues, and it seems to do a good enough job. If you want to go crazy and really get something clean, just use brake or carb cleaner but DO NOT get that shit on any plastics or woods.

Lanotec Lanolin general cleaner spray with brake/parts cleaner.
>>31223067
Only costs like $20 max, and it does a great job, and the bottles are massive and will last ages. Brake cleaner you need to be careful with, especially with wood, but Lanolin is god-tier. Great cleaner, rust remover/preventer, and lube. Best part is it can be used on anything and it wont damage shit. No need to fork out money for froglube and hopes, just get lanolin.
I used to use remoil but I tried clp and I liked it much better for cleaning, and I use hoppes oil for actual lubrication.
Remoil is just way too thin.

Remoil was invented for Remington's line of typewriters and sewing machines. It doesn't do well in guns, boiling point and viscosity too low.

>cleaning with remoil

Just piss down the barrel.
