I've worked extensively in Syria & Iraq for a period of years, & browse /k/ & /pol/ often. Aske me shit.

How many hundreds of hours of footage do you have where absolutely nothing happens?

What do you dip/smoke?

Were you embedded with a military or on your own?

What's the worst thing that you've heard of those Black Op creeps doing?
>>

1/ The trick is not to film what you won't use. It took me a few years to learn to stop filming everything.

2/ Camel Lights/hash

3/ Always embedded with rebel militia groups.

>& browse /k/ & /pol/ often.
When are you going back?
>>>/pol/
>>
>>31218609
Do you think the US should continue supporting Rebel groups? Why are these rebels actually fighting, is it 'to get rid of Assad' or are they just fighting for the sake of fighting at this point? What are their goals for post-Assad Syria if they 'win'?

Are the reported numbers of deaths per engagement accurate?

In the early years of iraqibodycount.com they had wide ranges of deaths in events, and that seems to no longer happen. Is the reporting more accurate, or less prone to sensationalism, or are there people getting killed where its not being recorded officially anywhere?
>>
>>31220501

1/ Yeah, I'm freelance.
2/ Started as a Reserve officer in (XXX) European Army. Went to Libya with a camera -> $$$
3) Less than the City or Law, more than the army.
4) Maybe 15-20 seriously scary contacts.
>>
>>31218609
How many other reporters do you fuck? I hear journalists fuck a lot along with drinking, they go hand in hand.
>>
>>31220971

It is a big thing, but I'm married, and don't fuck about, so none :(
>>
>>31220952
So is what they say about freelance journalism true? You basically have to get your own way there and its all basically diy?
>>
>>31221066

Yeah, that's true, but if you get good shit the money's way better. For good action stuff in Syria/Iraq you can ask £1k per day.
>>
>>31220952
Ever been near Russian bombing?
>>
>>31220923

Casualty figures vary wildly on every front in Syria and Iraq. That said, I wouldn't trust any figure given on social media. I've seen battles with 30-40 friendly bodies taken away given as 5 friendly dead, and 3 enemy dead recorded as 120.
>>
>>31221187

No.

USAF and SAA, yes, many many times.
>>
>>31218774
3/ Always embedded with rebel militia groups.

Do you have friends who behead 13 years old boys then proceed to put make up on other little kids to show leftist occidentals how bad assad is so they welcome more rapefugee in white countries ?
>>
>>31220952
Also I call HUGE bullshit on that. War reporters, especially european reporters aren't paid SHIT for their work. It's litterally the worst possible source of income if you're a photo journalist.

OP, you smell trouble.
>>
>>31221012
Interesting, good on you, anon. Another question, my dad was friends with Danny Pearl, how do you keep from a similar situation from happening to you? how does one, especially an independent journalist vet sources before just getting in some truck for a story?
>>
What's your average day like? Is there an average day in war? Do you get to know people or do they move away/die a lot?
Is there a fixed front and a place where fighters go back to sleep or you are always on the move?
>>
1)why are you always such a dick to Gavin?
2)what do your wife's nipples look like?
3)which let's play episode was your favorite to make?
>>
>>31221237
And this too...

The only djihadi targets the US and the SAA really bombs are ISIL and NUSRA. These groups would not under any circumstance accept a pig eater among them.

OP claims to be an ex military from Europe.

So I'm gonna say OP's either full of shit, or a mudslime/convert who does photoshoots for some goatfuckers terrorists.

Also just to let you know : most people on /k/ and /pol/ are pro Assad when being asked their view about Syria. Don't claim to be "one of us", that's pants on head tier level of taqya retardation here.

I'm about to go to bed, because my wife will kill me if I don't walk the dog in a few hours.

The reality is, in the Middle East (where I mostly work) almost all of the day is spent drinking tea and smoking cigarettes and getting involved in circuitous, pointless conversations. Even in the centre of Aleppo, maybe one day in five we'd get in a serious firefight, the rest was just hanging out being bombed.

As to people I've met in Syria, of acquaintances/friends I've had two killed by shelling, one by bombing, one by VBIED and one beheaded. Statistically most people I've met by far are still alive and fighting.
>>
>>31221549

Average day: in Syria we'd stay in buildings captured from the regime. So in Idlib, village villas, in Aleppo, a colonel's flat in the city centre. In Iraq I mostly stay in villas seized from local Arabs, on the outskirts of Mosul. Mostly fighters sleep in frontline positions (and I'd stay with them), occasionally I'd film/stay in a rear villa maybe 500m-1km from enemy lines used a logistics base. With the Peshmerga, they do 10 days on the line, and 20 days at home; Syrian rebels live on the frontline 24/7, though their commanders often live in Turkish 5 star hotels on the border instead.

Most non /Pol/ fags are anti everyone and evaluate all the evidence rather than supporting incompetent retards
Wanting the SAA to beat jihadi cunts is not the same as supporting the SAA, it's a lesser of two evils thing
