Why would two APCs be engaging one another?
>>
>>31214225
Bradleys picked up more armor kills in Desert Storm than the coalition MBTs did.
>>
>>31214225

Because they exist in the same general area and no tanks/planes/AT teams are engaging them?

Thank you, but this one is brand new and none of the e-books sites have it.

The BMP's gun is hilariously inaccurate, as it uses a rocket. The slightest perturbation to the projectile is amplified incredibly by the rocket booster.

Anyone know what kind of armor a BMP has? I believe it wasn't that much.

BMP-1 gets a bad rap because Dune coon armies are incompetent

BMP-1 frontal armor is resistant to 50 caliber, It can take it from point blank range. Problem is that you cant say the same thing for the sides since those are vulnerable from lets say 300-400 meters. The BMP-1 also suffers from problems such as bad range on its gun, gun elevates during autoloader time so you cant do grazing fire. No stabiliser on the main gun but you got one for the coaxial machine gun, One man turrets which we all know is a bad idea.

The BMP-2 is superior since it uses higher hardness steel. But it suffers the same problem of having not enough resistance against 50 caliber from the sides closer then 300 meters unless it is a BMP-2D.

BMP-1 main gun got a maximum range of 1000 meters while its effective range is 500-800 meters not moving.. The BMP-2 autocanon have a effectiv range of 1500 meters and can engage moving and targets high in the sky or mountains ON THE MOVE.

Those silly soviets should have known from the start which one is superior, when they saw their boys die in afghanistan then they accepted that the BMP-2 is superior and produced it in large quantity.

Only for about 10 seconds.
>>
>>31214359
If it is brand new then how can you hope to find it? I dont think the people that upload books from osprey buy one the moment it is released.

You have to wait or you buy it with real money.

Just what. Seriously dude.

Of course they did, why would the second version be inferior to the first? BMP 1s still saw service due to the large initial quantity.

IIRC, it is the same with the T-62 autoloader.

the Soviet later combine both gun into the BMP-3

a 100mm low pressure gun for launching HE-Frag
a 30mm gun for shooting at vehicle and aircraft
>>
>>31214665
You're misreading it. It's saying it can't eyeball adjustments, by which it means presumably the sights are attached to the gun instead of being independent.

T-62 don't have an autoloader but a auto ejector
>>
>>31214741
The 2A42 used on the BMP-2 is far more accurate than the 2A72 used on the BMP-3.
>>
>>31214724
Funny thing is that US sources state that the T-62 auto ejector take 7 seconds to do its job.

But in reality it is must faster
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ia-OjgZUirM

>>31214744
But I ment that. Grazing fire is your ability to observe how the rounds fly and then adjust. If you cant do that during autoloading then it means the sight moves with the gun.
>>
>>31214217
american vs soviets. the ussr was very practical, a gun is a gun as has work, a APC jobs is carry troops, american think in a different way, a gun has to be light and work for everyone be it policing or in the front a APC has do everything that a tank can do and support the troops in an attack
>>
>>31214772
>The 2A42 used on the BMP-2 is far more accurate than the 2A72 used on the BMP-3.
in standalone
yes, but with the 2A70, 2A72 become a superior weapon
>>
>>31214762
>>31214773
Ok, noted. But, so, which tank was the soviet tank with the autoloader?
>>
>>31214929
T-64, T-72 and T-80.
>>
>>31214942
Thanks. I was probably thinking about the T-64. I remember seeing a old instruction video "How to fight", and I remember they showing how the autoloader works.

Yes, definitely this one. I searched myself, too, I found that they also did one about the T-64 and T-72:

But I'm certain that it was the T-62 video that I watched.

>BMP-1 frontal armor is resistant to 50 caliber

I.E. is easily penetrated by any western IFV. Then again western IFVs are a lot heavier.
