What do you guys think about the PPK?
Dated, but kind of neat as a collectible.
Poo Poo Krap.

The double action autoloader is among the worst inventions in the history of firearms.
>>31211153
What specifically is wrong with them. I'm looking to buy a CC gun, but I just don't like today's options.
>>31211134
I carry a .32 ACP PPK sometimes and it is fantastic. It is just the right weight, size, and shape that fits my hands and my body well. For practical purposes, get a .380 for better ammo availability. When you have one, you'll admire its sleekness and general aesthetic. It has no blockiness to it, I mean.. also fun to shoot compared to its more modern competition

If you're a faggot.
>>31211175
Most people complain about slide bite
>>31211134
I personally love it, I've got an Interarms one I got a bit back, right now I use it for my CC.
PPK's have a rich history (and not just James Bond), classic design that I like to just sit down and fawn over every now and then.
>>31211175
If you have larger hands, you might want to look into a new one with the larger beaver tail, like the one in OPs post.
>>31211175
Bit weighty for what they are.
Slidebite for some people.
What do you want out of a carry pistol?
>caliber?
>hammer fired?
>single-action, double-action, or both?
>does width matter?
>does length of grip matter, and length of barrel matter?
>is capacity important?
>do you want it to be plastic framed or metal framed?
>>31211244
Same here, whenever I lay down my PPK I can't help but admire it.
Classic.
A little dated in some areas compared to newer things but its a cold war era pistol, mostly kept alive by james bond
Its still fun as hell to shoot, and I like the added weight. Its makes it a softer shooter for me. Id get the .32 version just because of the history and you can get dozens of .380s now but not any .32s
op, look @ s&w 3913. still a sexy da/sa metal frame, but in 9mm
I'm waiting for my PPK to come in the mail :3
>>31212737
Cold war? I might be wrong but i thought the design started in the 30s?
>>31212817
the original walther PP design was in the 30s
the ppk was an updated version, made popular by its use in the cold war
Not a ppk but still sexy as fuck. I love shooting this thing.
>>31212849
yeah was just checking out the wiki, thought i was crazy. thanks
I want one. And a Beretta 84. and a Bersa Thunder. and a Makarov PM
I love little auto handguns.
Polish p64 does everything the ppk does but better
>more powerful cartridge
>milsurp
>history
>more accurate
>built on german machinery by superior slav engineers

I be you're the guy who said a $79 Mosin Nagant does everything the Mauser derivatives do but better...simply because it's cheaper
>>31212964
Those Bersas are great. With the two-tone put orange paint on the front sight and you're set.
>>31212964
I have a Beretta 84F. It's a neat gun that looks cool, but it's kind of heavy and really wide. Not as concealable as I'd like. The only other complaint is that it's difficult to get a good grip on the slide to pull it back.
>>31212966
The rumors about the 30lb double action pull are true. I've never fired a weapon with a worse trigger.
>>31212966
>not drop safe but I carry it loaded in my pocket anyway
>garbage trigger
>heavy for its size
>9mm Makaroni
>>31213259
>I've never fired a weapon with a worse trigger.
you can fix that pretty easily with a spring kit, there's really nothing wrong with the P64 unless you have big hands
>>31213286
That's what I've heard. The trigger does nick the side of your finger occasionally. I need to get at trigger spring for that and my Makarov.
>>31212966
>tiny piece of shit harder to grip if you don't have baby hands
>the worst trigger ever
>>31212810
anon...
>>31213259
>The only other complaint is that it's difficult to get a good grip on the slide to pull it back.
Never had this problem and I have pretty large hands. The 80s series does have single stacks and while the grips are wide on the doublestack guns, I don't find them to be large at all. They just aren't pocket gun.
Hell as far as shooting the 80 series and the CZ 82/83 are probably they best .380s around. They aren't tiny hand manglers, they have good sights and good barrel length etc.
>>31211134
My dad had one, but he had to sell it because my asshole of an uncle never payed him back for some materiel he paid for to do some work at his house.
Fucking blued steel with Pacmayr (?) grips.
