Panzer IV - all models, ausf A thru J

I don't particularly care about speed or armor thickness.

I just like the shape and I like how all the guys just pop out of the damn thing.

Defending the Reich cheaply and reliably

Also because Hetzer is cutest tonk
>>

PzIV is my favourite as well, but for diversity's sake I'll post the IS-2 instead. 122mm of stalinist hate in a relatively compact, light and well-sloped package.
>>31211356
That's not a tank, but an assault gun. It's alright though
>>

No fucking shit

way to ruin the fun, stickler

Matilda MkII.

Entered service in the late 30's, and still managed to find a role to excel in even by 1945 when they were ancient vehicles.

They went to France and kicked German asses.

Then they went to Africa and kicked Italian asses.

Then after gun technology caught up with them on the European front, they just hopped over to the Pacific and kicked Japanese asses instead.

Good old Queen of the Desert. They ALWAYS found somewhere to be incredible useful, right to the very end. One of very very few vehicles to achieve such a feat.

The TKS armed with the 20mm. Hilariously the mainstay of the Polish army, and pretty good at ambushing enemy tanks.

Slightly inaccurate. (Although I think it was unintentional on your part) The TKS only had a very very few vehicles with the 20mm. Most just had MGs.

I do love the 20mm armed one though. It was such an underdog. One of them even took out a few larger Panzers.

Main proper tank of the Polish was the 150 7TP's they had. A very underappreciated little vehicle for its time. One of the first diesels, the first to have a proper periscope design (one that they would later hand to the British to use on their tanks, and eventually got implemented on the M4 Medium as well in the US, a criminally underappreciated contribution by the Polish to the war technology race) and it had a better gun than many of the Panzers it faced.

There was, unfortunately, just too few of them, and they would still be knocked out just as easily as any light tank of that era.

No survivors past the war, unfortunately.
>>
>>31212215
You're right, I misphrased it. The TKS in general was the most numerous piece of armor the Polish had, and in particular I love the TKS.

And I agree, I also love the 7TP, awesome little tank.
>>
>>31211356
It was cute but it was Russian-style cramped design.

Still, going by Soviet reports, they were more afraid of them than heavier vehicles such as Jagdpanther or Tiger II, probably because how easy it was to conceal this thing.
>>
>>31212046
Valentine was better desu. If only Brits would just pack some short howitzers on them(instead of NO-HE AT guns) they would be more golden than they were in Burma.

Naturally, but it only entered later in the war.

Part of what makes the Tilly special to me is that it was there for the start, and it was there for the end, and it never lost relevance.

The Churchill family. It may have a rough start, but it soon proved itself to be a reliable workhorse for what the Brits have at the time. Also love reading accounts about its terrain passability.

I like the professional skirts more than the skirts on that pic. That said Stug with skirts is sexy as fuck. P4 skirts are nice too but the turret skirt ruins it.
