Marines obviously. That's only a 10-1 advantage of guys with swords and no idea how to fight against modern troops vs guys with rifles, grenades and machine guns.

It would be pretty one sided. Replace the marines with any modern infantry or the legionnaires with any pre gunpowder soldiers and the result would be more or less the same.

The whole point of tactics and weapons evolving over time is to make soldiers more efficient so you can get the same or better results with less personnel, there is absolutely no comparing a B.C. era army to basically any modern army, even 5,000 Middle East-tier soldiers could take out 50,000 Romans without too much issues.
