This actually happened unlike OP. Also it has some shitty railed gas block instead of an pinned A2 sight, and no dimples for set screws so I think its just loctited on.

Sport model of M&P-15 lacks them to lower the price, the regular model has them.

They're perfectly ok rifles but you could buy two of them with spare mags for what OP allegedly paid.
