Benchmade or leave t b h
I move between a Benchmade 940 and a Benchmade 580. The 940 is really thin and fits nice in any pocket but the 580 fills the hand really well. I'd say 60% of the time it's the 940 and 40% of the time it's the 580.

what model are these? I really like the slim profile, bet they're barely noticable in your pocket. how durable are they?
Herp derp

what's the appeal in these? just because it's a short fat blade? It doesn't seem very practical

Most Benchmadew are around half an inch wide. Not slim compared to a lightweight small knife like a Keyshawn leak.
The knife I showed is a benchmade 710. kinda a larger pocket knife.

Look at how thin the tip is. It's like an exacto knife or box-cutter on steroids.
Plus Spyderco compression lock is ridiculously awesome and rated to withstand up to 200lbs of force. Can open/close it in 1.5 seconds. 3in blade and manual knife that is acceptable to carry in most places. Spine curvature acts as thumb rest for saber grip and control point like a karambit in reverse grip.
That's speaking on the Yojimbo 2. I don't own any other compression lock folders.... Yet.

which is great, if you're cutting boxes. Not good for much else, though.

>not good for much else
>designed by Michael Janich
>martial artist designed fighting knife
>long handle so base of handle is striking point
>tip thin/slender enough for penetration
>carpenters use well-controlled s30v steel tip to mark wood for cuts
>wharncliffe straight-edge gives full cut force because body moves in arcs
Guess again.
Use it damn near everyday and it holds an edge unbelievably well. Best $35 I've spent on a knife.

That's cool and all, it looks like you don't even use your knife.
I also had the yojimbo for a while, I thought it sucked. I get more / better use out of my rat 1.>>31206998

You're not this Michael guy.
Do you even do martial arts that involves knives?
Are you a carpenter who is marking wood with it?
Do you you even use your knife?
So far the choice of your knife is just gay.
