Local shop has DPMS Oracle AR-10 for $820 apiece. Should I go for it? Doesn't look like too bad of a rifle and I'm not likely to lose anything on it. Especially if Hillary wins.

I had a long thoughtful post written out but the internets ate it. Here's the short and sweet:

no one gun is best at all things. probably why there's millions of different calibers and guns.

ar-10 - better in rural settings with open distances and bringing in food

ar-15 - better in urban/suburban areasbecause of smaller, lighter to carry ammo, better parts availability and overall lighter weight.

1 gun? I guess I'll personally take the 308 because I live outside of a city. I'd much rather have a handy bolt action though. And a concealed carry pistol. That's necessity.
