Can you name a more dog shit ugly uniform than the UCP.
Holy fuck.
>>31197694

NWU
>>31200256
type 1
>>31197694
I can't either. Thank Christ we switched to multi/scorpi
>>31197694
I wore that uniform during my stint and during my deployment on MFO Sinai. The units from other countries would clown on us constantly. Con. Stant. Ly. The worst part was the orange helmet covers we were issued.
>>31201261
Wait what
>>31201322
It's like a tiny offshoot of the UN, but with some countries unaffiliated with the UN I believe. The mission was basically peacekeeping, we were there to report on any violations of the peace treaty between Egypt and Israel.
>>31197694
Checkmate
>>31201517
So basically a way of side stepping through no UN in that area shit?
>>31201557
Yeah, but the military presence isn't really all that large all things considered, and we're armed with jack and shit. We were allowed to carry 2 magazines with 5 rounds each into the watch towers, an m240 belt with 35 rounds, no more than that, and 2 40mm nade launcher rounds. The MFO had to get special permission from the Egyptian government each time we went to rifle qualification and we were only allowed to give it one shot because the Egyptians only said we could have 40 rounds each for rifle qual.
>>31201517
MFO is NOT an off shoot of the UN. It is literally a requirment of the 1968 Camp David accords and totally independent of the UN apart from the countries involved are members, but then EVERY nation is part of the UN.
What year were you there? I was 11-12
>>31201589
Dude....
I got news for you...that was all your COC. When I was there a few years ago we carried full combat loads ERRRRY WHERE especially in the towers and MOT
I'd just like to interject for moment. What you're referring to as UCP, is in fact, ACU/UCP, or as I've recently taken to calling it, ACU plus UCP. UCP is not an uniform unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning ACU system made useful by the ACU cargo pockets, NIR technology and hook-and-loop components comprising a full CU as defined by USDoD.
>>31201261
I thought the orange covers were a joke. They actually exist?
>>31197694
Yes
>>31201599
I was 09-10, and I thought Fiji was unaffiliated with the UN, my bad.
>>31201604
Lucky. If we had been hit with a large enough attack during my rotation we probably would've been wiped.
Which control centers were you guys at? I was at SCC7 and SCC5, and did a week at the Rock when some idiot stepped on coral.
>>31201640
Oh anon, it gets so much worse.
>>31201647
Just adding that this dweeb is not me.
>>31201640
They are to ID you as someone the Egyptian police/military aren't supposed to shoot when they are fighting the Bedoins.
wanna hear something dumber?
>be there to look for tanks or aircraft violating the treaty
>prohibited from taking pictures as proof
>instead if you see one, you must take a test on vehicle recognition, give your military bio and draw a picture of the vehicle.
>>31201644
its cool. I was on the MOT team. and OP-10 (?) the one at the airport. I was also at SCC7 and SCC5. Never did the island though.
We had Bedoins shoot in the air aroind us while doing donuts, so I started having my guys pull security whenever we stopped...and as soon as my LT found out I was told to stop and yelled at "hurr dis int EYE-RACK RELAX" nevermind that when I was doing NCRT at North Camp I got to swim at the beach ISIS beheaded all those guys at.
>>31201659
Yeah there was some celebratory gunfire when I was there over the soccer games. A sandstorm hit that night and I was paranoid as fuck in my tower. Sounds cool as fuck though that you got to hit that beach. The only one I visited was Herb's Beach in south camp, and I had loads of fun there.
>>31201647
>>31201651
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
HOLY FUCKING SHIT
>>31201766
Well at the time that beach was just a beach! Btw the murders and my swim were within sight of a Fijian OP, OP#1 I think.
The MFO Mission is like a well kept secret...or it was till ISIS. I had drinks in Sharm from time to time, got to see purple stingrays at herbs beach, spear fish (poorly) in the gulf and South Camp has like four bars! ....it was a year long working vacation!
Im pretty sure everything is off limits now though woth ISIS and all,

>Type 03
imports when?
>>31202292
Are they still wearing this shit? Not a month ago some burger here claimed they are all multicam nao.
>>31202511
We are transitioning to multicam/scorpion. Many units have it, but it will take years for everyone to get it.
>>31201541
>dat black pain flaking off the muzzle of the guy on the left revealing airsoft orange underneath
Royal Canadian Navy - Naval Combat Dress. Standard uniform aboard ships both in harbour alongside. In addition to being unfashionable as fuck, they are made of nomex and trap heat in.
>>31202863
*both I harbour and at sea.
Fortunately, that monstrosity is on the way to being replaced by something like this.

>>31201631

as ugly as it is, at least this functional in a desert environment.
>sand
>sand colored buildings
>sand colored vehicles
>sand colored rubble
>sand people
>>31201776
I imagine that would work for on-base Air Force or Navy duty. It's not like they really need to blend in,
