Depends on how fascist your local pd is. I was in the same boat, ended up using my step mom. Same last name, diff addresses....mom has a "Clean record" (got PTI for a tube fed Stevens .22 "salt rifle" a few years prior.....long story.) got my handgun card in two weeks.
Got my first handgun and ar in Jersey. Now I live in non-facist based Delaware.

NJ fag here, and yesterday marked 11 weeks since I applied for a firearms purchaser card. Been checking in every two weeks since week 6, and they just tell me that the detective's (who won't actually see or speak to me) desk is full of applications due to the "political climate" so I should just check back in a couple weeks.

If I didn't just sign a lease I'd look for a job out west because Jesus Christ, this is infuriating.
