I find hexmags are light. I have started just using them for range only duties because of this. It might be a little autistic but I want my mags to start to drop when I release them so I can get a quick change. It only really matters when running 2 or 3 gun.

I shouldn't be telling anyone this, since I plan on buying some up, but desert fox has $10 Chinese SKS drop bags and they are awesome. Can be used as cheap case for anything carbine-length, but they're so cheap I use them essentially as gun socks in my safe to keep rifles from scratching.

Plus they are canvas so everything smells like surplus goodness when I open the door.

Was hoping to get in on the 10 PMAGs + 100 rounds of .223, but it expired in my cart before I could check out. I think I'll wander over to my LGS tomorrow, too. Been looking to get a subcompact 9mm and my paycheck's burning a hole in my pocket. But I guess there's a good reason Labor Day is the first Monday of the month. I ordered everything but a stripped lower from PSA for $515 a week ago, plus 2 30 round magazines and 120 rounds (60 American Eagle, 60 PMC Bronze). But if I wanted to order the same things today with the sale, i'd get 8 more magazines, but all American Eagle ammo and i'd pay about $25 bucks more. Really tempting, but my order would probably be delayed even more.

Yeah I figured i'd get 60 rounds of each and test them both out on my AR. See what's more accurate/what my AR likes. The only shooting I do is with my college's gun club and I don't really think i'd shoot more than 60 rounds at a time. The thought of spending more than $20 at a time hurts me. Military can auction out it's ammo that cant be used anymore, but it cant be sold/used as ammo. So companies break it into components and resell those to reloaders. Most common will be pulled bullets, the recovered powder is called pulldown powder, and primed cases.

During the downturn of the war there was a lot of it on the market. $8/lb powder, m193 projectiles at a few cents. Lots and lots of tracer bullets and powder.

Not so common or as cheap anymore when it does pop up.
