XD/HS2000 Thread?

Seriously though, outside of /k/ memes its a pretty respectable gun. Guys here like to bitch that the HS2000 used to be $300 before SA took over. Completely ignoring the improvements of the XDm lineup, the options, the factory support and the fact that glock could sell guns for dirt cheap if they wanted too as well, often mistaking somethings price for it's worth.

The grip zone is gay as fuck, but the mod2 has some pretty nice touches. Not enough to stop people from bitching about the grip safety that is a complete non-issue. Only real issue IMO is there is enough variation in the guns themselves that only one company bothers with making new triggers

If you pin the firing pin safety on a Glock, it's the same thing. It's not something you do in the course of shooting, you're choosing to permanently disable a passive safety feature that wasn't meant to be disabled all the time.

I chose my XDS 9mm over the shield. Shot them both and the XDS just felt better. It's not perfect but its a nice gun.

All I've ever owned is glocks and I when I first used my friends xd9 I didn't even notice that it had a grip safety. It made no difference in firing it or cleaning it. The grip safety is a moot point. I own an xdm 45 now and the grip safety hasnt changed my firing habits in the slightest

First gun was XD45 Compact, the price was right as i was a poor collegefag. I recently sold it to my friend who needed a gun as his first, I miss it. Was the most comfy in my hand of all my guns and I had zero issues with it.

I've never liked the look of any of the XD shit. I think they're absolutely their the most hideous looking striker fired pistols ever made. While they're decent shooters, I would never in a million years pay to have that ugly shit in my safe.
