Post VZ58s ITT

Make me.
I'll post a few, and a few more if people want more.

Mirin that scope.

The brass deflector was the toughest part of scoping that gun. I barely need it running golden tiger anyway, it ejects so softly.
It also shoots very noticeably better than bear ammo at least. And bear ammo also beat the hell out of my rifle and launched casings into orbit.

>post shitty ak wannabes
Hard pass.

>tfw Canadian
>tfw will never own an AK (yes, I know about valmet's but I'm a poorfag)
That being said the VZ has kind of grown on me, the toy like weight and super thin profile is wonderfully handy and 7.62x39 has just the perfect amount of recoil, hard enough to not be boring but light enough to shoot all day.
Can I play?
>>31184028
Take off that god awful muzzle brake and put on a thread protector at the very least, a slovak style brake at most, then you can play.
>tfw no VZ's in 5.45x39 or 7.62x45
>tfw no beaver barf magazines for VZ's
I used to have one of these, I wanted to like it, it was very reliable and accurate but I just never got into it.
Got to handle a vz.2008 last weekend while in Dallas. Not bad, though the stock felt pretty odd.
>>31182176
I'm just keeping it until the election, then I'm selling it for an inflated price.
>>31183990
AKs are way more fun to collect since there's so many neat variations, so I feel sorry for you there.
But I think the vz is the better gun.
>>31184028
looking good. have you considered paracord for the stock?
>>31184421
whoops posted a picture of a man killing a goat instead of my vz
I put the folding stock back on a few days back. While the fixed beaver barf stock is super comfy I think the folder is my favorite of the two. It makes it such a handy little gun. It isn't the most comfortable (definitely more comfy than any other wire stock I've used, and simple paracord does wonders) compared to an AK triangle folder but it's incredibly easy to just whip it open with one motion.
It's nice using the fixed stock when shooting from a fixed position but when hiking around and shooting I prefer the folder.

That's what makes the vz the ultimate vehicle gun for me. I had to make this webm just to demonstrate how handy it is. Just let it flip out while you bring the sights up to your eyes.
and I may as well post the other two webms people seem to like

VZs got a little expensive for car guns. I traded mine out for a PAP m92 when the price climbed.
>>31184749
neat
Muh baby.
>>31184759
Expensive or not, I'd rather have what I like best.
I can always buy another if I'm obsessed with having a pristine one.
It'd just give me an excuse to keep a nice one with a fixed stock, and the beater vehicle gun with the folder stock. The first scratch hurts, after that it just adds character.
>>31184853
I'm not talking about damage; I'm talking about theft.
Over its lifetime a vehicle gun is more likely to be stolen than used.
>>31184876
Ok, I see.
Well, I'm in the rurals and don't think much about it.
>>31184708
It also makes it great as a really short package to have slung over your shoulder when hiking around. In one motion you can get it unslung with your thumb on the dust cover and index finger knuckle on the stock button and open the stock to have it ready to go really really quick, whereas with my AK I have to unsling it, reach my finger inside to unlatch the folding stock and then flip it open and shoulder it. The triangle folder is more comfy but the vz stock is just a great design. It's the perfect balance of functionality without sacrificing very much comfort when using it (unlike an underfolder which is really handy but considerably more uncomfortable than the vz stock)

What light mount is that?

I've personally shot that Vz. Very nice example of one. NEA handguards a best.
>>31182176
It seems the 390mm barrel version (the "correct" barrel length) is hard to find up here. What do you guys think of the 11in barrel version here? I think it'd look real good with some bright wood furniture.
>>31183990
If you haven't already, get a pistol mag conversion and some 10 rounders.
And magwedges/tape.
>>31185658
Best version. Maybe it's just me, but the longer barrel looks odd, especially with the 18.5 barrel. It makes the gun look spindly. That looks very nice.
How does 7.62x39 handle being used in a shorter barrel, anyway? Been thinking about an SBR AK or Vz for SHTF/general fun
Does anyone know how to fix bolt hold open problems with surplus mags? I'm considering pulling the lifter out and disabling the hold open out of frustration
>>31187274
Mine wore out after 3k. I've since replaced it with one of the aftermarket bolt releases.
>>31187274
What kind of problem?
Is it possible to get a more correct muzzle brake for the Vz.2008s?
>>31185658
In terms of appearance the 11" models are only beaten by the true military 15.4" barrels, anything else just looks really off, even the 16" models have a little bit of a strange look to them.
I think the main problem stems from the barrel being so thin.
>>31187623
I think you can get thread adapters that let you use VZ muzzle brakes.
>>31182176
Any MAfags on right now? Since the VZ2008 is a completely different gun and shares minimal interchangeable parts with the banned AK platform, shouldn't this rifle technically be legal?
>>31187623
Yes, there are a lot of authentic Czech special forces muzzlebrakes you can get for cheap, along with a lot of third party brakes. Don't forget, the VZ-58 has the same thread pattern as an SKS.

CNC warrior has a bunch of 14x1rh muzzle devices for the VZ
