Shoot left eyed with a pistol and right eyed with a rifle/shotgun. It works for me.

Right eye dominant lefty here.
try putting a piece of tape over the left lens of your shooting glasses. Not so it blocks out everything, but just enough so it blurs your vision. Your brain will eventually accept it. I've been shooting since I was three (28 now) and I can keep both eyes open when shooting. Also, the dominance trick doesn't work for me anymore. I guess it's some sort of codominance thing, but it works.

No issues at all. Didn't even realize it until a few months ago when I watched a video on eye dominance. Been shooting for 20 years and it never occurred to me.

Right-handed, L-eye dominant here, forced to be left eye dominant because it's the only one I see out of. Most any rifle that's not a bolt-action is perfectly fine to shoot left-handed for me. Bolt actions are annoying, but I only ever shoot them at the range so it's a non issue; if I were to get one for hunting I'd just get a left-handed action.

For pistols I use a right-hand dominant grip and shoot using my left eye. A little wonky maybe but it's not bad at all, especially if you practice and get used to it.

bottom line, as long as what you do is comfortable, safe, and works, do whatever feels best.

You do know that a lot of ppl are ampidexteruous, not hard to do it either. I learned how to write with my right hand, when I was prob nine I broke my hand and had to relearn to write and do a lot of shit with my left hand for about six months.
