Dude, those buybacks are great.
>bring junk shit gun
>get gift card
>find someone else in line who doesn't want to wait
>offer to give them said giftcard for their gun
>bam profit

It almost worked for me here in Commiefornia, but the fucking assholes ended the buyback before I had gotten my giftcard for my shitty non-working BP revolver from some off the wall brand. Already had a few people lined up who were willing to trade their gun.
>>
You know if we advertise this too much they'll stop buying wood and pipe at these...
>>
>>31182845

My greatgrandfather used to lug me out to these in the early to mid 90's before he died.

He once bought a massive surplus lot of M16 metal trainers (not actual guns, just metal training rifle molds) from a military base. Several hundred of them. We'd take a few to each buyback and especially during the AWB would sometimes get $200 a pop for 'em. He paid mere pennies per unit.

Inert LAW tubes were also popular along with other replicas. Larger PD's (like LA's) like to keep some of these on hand and bring them out at every buyback as if they were just turned in. Look, we recovered a rocket launcher!

But in reality, it's just a legal inert piece of metal that's legal just about everywhere.

how do I make one of these? pretty sure there are buybacks where I live
>>

Full instructions for building one are available in the TM 31-210 improvised munitions handbook published by the Pentagon in the 60s.

It's unclassified public property so there are tons of sites with PDF versions for free.

Make sure it has a stock and the length requirements (both barrel and overall length) are met and it's a perfectly legal shotgun, at least on a federal level. You'll need to check if your state allows homemade guns.
>>
>>31181889
>go to ATM
>withdraw a few hundred
>go through the line, and offer cash value instead of gift card
>watch as you get some good guns

Why wait in line for the buy back. Every grocery store sells gift cards at the register. Just get some amazon gift cards and go shopping in line.
>>
>>31182867
Nice. The Appleseed Foundation does something similar. They do fundraisers where they accept broken/defunct/nonfunctional firearms and turn them in during the gun drives. Last year they earned $6000 which they then turned right back into teaching youth firearm safety lol.

In one case a shotgun was in such poor condition it ripped in half when the police tried to clear it. They did not accept that one.

Why hasn't there been any riot, unrest or HAPPENING in Atlanta despite it having a very sizable black population. Not even a happening when the KKK did their Stone Mountain rally.

It's a feature on the new 870 express.

I feel like there's gotta be SOME legal bullshit to stop you from doing that. As much fun as undercutting the police sounds....

If Detroit ever does a buyback I might have to pull some of these shenanigans. Might get lucky and find something cool.

>If Detroit ever does a buyback I might have to pull some of these shenanigans.

I had the same thoughts, thought odds are all the trash from Flint would drive up too and try buying them first so they could reuse them for crimes. Still, it'd be worth showing up just to see what all got turned in.

I wanted to do more but they had a three gun limit. My plan was to aquire all the parts to build an AR using buy back money.

I'd be in it to try to save anything historical, so I don't think I'd be much competition to Tyrone over there trying to get a new Glock 40 Problem Solver Edition without an FFL transfer. Either way, it'd be worth a shot.

So incredibly anti-gun, but instead of denying the existence of the right to arms they just claim to acknowledge it while enforcing illegal edicts?

Yeah. The whole scenario is a pretty damn big what-if. I'm honestly okay with that.

True. Michiganders know how to go innawoods and thrive, not just survive. Anyone that lives more than 10 minutes from a major city hunts, or at least knows how to. And God knows many actual livable shelters and tree forts everyone made as kids.

There was a fictional book about a modern US civil war with the UN coming in to "pacify" the populace. Not only was it great because 90% of Ohioans were killed by raiders (kek) but Michigan was unofficially renamed "Militiaman" in the book because it was the only free state near the North East that didn't get pacified.

Yup. Detroit police aren't like NY or CA police where they pretend there isn't a racial relation to gun crime, but they know they can't do anything about it. Detroit is so utterly fucked they have PMCs providing armed security in armored humvees in the Business sector because the average Police response is 2 hours thanks to budget cuts and Detroit's bankruptcy.

I'm too lazy to dig through the archives for you. Basically there was a buyback coming up in some anons area so he made a bunch of pipe guns out of wood and metal and strapped them together with the intent of getting $100 in gift cards for each one.

To add to the humor of the situation he memed the shit out of them by writing jokes and whatnot on the "buttstocks."

The cops got pissed and I don't recall if they accepted them or not as it was very clear what the guys was doing. Regardless, it was a humorous thread.

Detroit is actually a LOT like South Africa

>1970s A wonderful prosperous land where hard work meant fair pay
>Race relations were stable
>Open gun battles in broad daylight between police forces and violent gangs were not common
>Tourism and jobs were plentiful bolstering the local economy
>Some the most profitable manufacturing in the entire region
>Present day, all of the rich white people have moved away
>the economy is freefall as jobs and industries are leaving the area just like the wealthy have
>the only ones that still live there barely have the resources to make it day to day, let alone flee
>gun crime and crime in general has spiked
>the land is becoming more and more lawless as home invasions become common place
>burn out buildings and abandoned vehicles are no longer an eye sore, they're the majority of the area
>a once thriving economy and prideful example of job market growth is a hollowed out shell of its former self
>Police presence is all but nonexistent
