Hi, /k/,
What do you guys think of CO2 pistols/rifles? Do you own them? I'm a still-nogunz, but while I'm learning for my gun exams, I'd like to get some more experience with TD, drills etc. Do you guys practise with these CO2 pistols?
The pros of a CO2 IMHO:
>good price
>no local regulations where I live
>cheap to fire
>fun to plink all day
The cons:
>less recoil so less training value than a .22
>worse ballistics at long range
What do you guys think?
Run before the rest of /k/ arrives.
inb4 elitist dickfaces claiming airguns have nothing to do with firearms.

You can practice basic drills I suppose.
>>31169598
I know it's going to be almost all of them, but fuck, I pull trigger, there's a hole in the paper. For drills it's pretty much ideal for a broke student such as myself.

Can I do the Djibouty Shooty?
I love me my winchester m14 pellet rifle. I shoot it more than my .22s

I don't own them personally, but my GF has two pistols and one rifle, and I use them fairly often.
Otherwise, they're accurate enough at the ranges they're intended for and make for good enough practice on shoot-n-see targets or tinking the rimfire targets I normally send spinning hard with pellets. I can keep them in the 8-10 rings pretty consistently often times, even shooting fairly fast.
I still like my break barrel pellet rifles more for power sake alone, but the one MAJOR advantage OP forgot to mention was that CO2 guns are semi auto.
My biggest gripe on them is that the triggers on them are so heavy, you really have to pull hard. It actually makes my finger sore after some time.

A realistic replica is excellent for dry practice and nothing more.

if im plinking ill use a umarex 40 xp blowback bb gun (looks vaguely glockish) or a daisy powerline 5501 blowback bb pistol that looks like vaguely like a ppk or a 60s or 70s era pistol.
but if im doing quasi formal target shooting ill use a crosman 2240 and pretend im in the Olympics

Agreed. A blue gun doesn't quite cut it.
I haven't fired a CO2 gun since I was a boy, but i kinda want one of these:

They would be great if they fired pellets but BBs kinda kill it for me.
>>31172526
What about metal BBs? They're kinda fun.

I have a Co2 M&P 9 bb gun, I use to practice home defence actually pulling the trigger inside the house. I wish i could find a good GBB Glock 26 clone to practice fast drawing.
As a recommendation, put heavy blankets over screens and TVs. Fucked my brothers computer monitor shooting inside the house.

>fucked my brothers computer monitor
Hue.
I found this bad boy and I'm kind of turned on by the idea of buying it just for lelz: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Legends-Luger-P.08-BB-Pistol/25174734
Other than that, I'd much rather train Mozam-drills and other fast draw, moving shoot drills.

Im autistic about accuracy.
>>31173132
So just shoot it in full auto mode, then you've got an excuse for bad accuracy.
>>31173156
I feel the novelty would wear off quickly if it's not accurate.
I see a lot of airgun channels on youtube.
Grown men who do nothing but fire airguns and talk about airguns.
American men who should be able to buy actual guns.
There's no way these guys are purposely nogunz, right?
Scientific Conclusion: All American airgun enthusiasts are felons (most likely pedophiles) and domestic abusers.
>>31174217
Well, I'm convinced.
American + airgun enthusiasm = convicted kid fucker. Write it down, it's lore now.
>>31169553
Who makes the most powerful c02 pistol?
>>31174217
Does he look like a pedophile to you?
>>31175506
yes. yes he does.
>>31173156
full auto bb guns are legal?
>>31176507
Yes.
The one posted above is 100 bux.
>>31177122
It's all metal too. Might have to cop that just for lulz

From what I've seen, a lot of those airgun guys own real guns too. They just do videos on airguns because there are already a billion firearm channels and they have a niche doing airgun stuff.
Also, airguns have their advantages. You can use them in places where you can't fire real guns, some places have different hunting seasons for airguns, and they're less hassle to transport across state lines and whatnot.
