be careful if you take it out to the range, most modern 45-70 is too hot for it.

I have an abused Arisaka 99 that someone sawed down the stock and barrel to make a short carbine. Its a nifty mechanism but completely useless gun

I'm intrigued.Pics?

pics?
Nah, its 3 something in the morning. Ill wake up the wife. Imagine if someone took a mauser and stuck the end in a pencil sharpener. Thats what it looks like
Take this and shorten it by 18", and cut off the stock under the barrel to make it proportional. The dummy cut off thr front iron sight in the process. They did bother to crown the barrel, so i can only assume they had it scoped
why would they do that haha
Couldnt tell you. A friend gave it to me to reblue and refinish the stock. I looked into it and now im torn. Its a garbage gun, its been abused and oddly modified, but theres obviously some history. It makes me wonder why they did it too
i like things like makes 'em feel alive to me
