I can't decide which one to get. Can /k/ help me?

I have a suppressor in jail, and I do have red dot sight but its mountability is not hugely important to me.

All I care about is shootability with a suppressor.
>>
USP is known for being heavily reliable. Also, if you want to know about suppressors on it, look up the Mk 23
>>
Either is fine. 9mm 147gr would be my preference, if you really want to suppress.
>>
>>
>>31161367
I have an m&p threaded currently but Im planning on getting mk25 later
>>
Well I'd have to say USP45 expecially with an expensive suppressor. I have the osprey .45 suppressor for my USP and it's one of the most fun weapons I own. Great shooting, damn good noise suppression too.
>>
>>31160971
Get a Mk23 so you can LARP as Solid Snake.

The can in jail is octane 45, sometimes I wish I got osprey instead.
>>

What the fuck are you on about?
>>

>this triggers the high school dropout
>>
>.45 ACP

into the trash it goes, get a 9mm
>>
USP has a much better trigger and a better feel. FN is lighter and has higher capacity, but the trigger is what made me choose the USP Tactical.
>>
>>31160983
>>31161396
>>31161508
Thanks, usp tactical it is.
>>
>>31160971
Both are great choices. I tend to lean towards FN, but you will be satisfied with either.
>>
>>31160971
Both are good.
I like the FNC because I have big hands and like the extra mag capacity.
My can is in jail too, I know your pain
>>
>>31161413
No you dont.

I own both. The octane is the better can.

I do too. Unfortunately, it's a little big for concealed-carry.

The USP is the direct descendant of the Mk.23, the Mk.23 OHWS being the most ridiculously tested pistol of all time. The USP has been out for over 20 years and has seen service in various military, special operations, and civilian use the world over. H&K not only built it off of an incredibly reliable gun meant to be surpressed and abused, but they've worked through any kinks or hang ups in the system for a long, long time.

No, it doesn't have a rail for a light, but there are adapters, but to be honest lights don't work well with suppressed guns anyways, it casts a huge giant shadow. The RDS is a deal breaker if that's what you really want, but to be honest I find them more gimmicky than anything, just my opinion.

The FNH is a good gun I'm sure, but to be honest I don't trust FNH products as much as I do H&K and certainly not as far as pistols go. The FN has greater capacity, sure, but let's also remember that the FN is a product of a bid to win a Mil/SOCOM contract, a contract that it lost to another H&K design anyways and that design itself being largely based off of the USP.

Buy what you want, they're both great, but the USP has more of the "quality and performance" factor going for it than the FN does, by a long shot for sure.
>>
>>31161694
The FNP/FNX did not take part in the SOCOM trials. It took part in the trials for general sidearm of the American military.

Anyways, the FNX is absolutely reliable. I'm not going to bad mouth the USP, because it is a good gun, but I would take the FNX over it every day.
>>
>>31161911
Never seen anything about FNH withdrawing from the JCP program once SOCOM took it over, nor would it even make sense for them to do so, gonna have to see a source on that.
>>
>>31161410
Never change /k/

> Shooting subsonics

45 > 9 for pistol supression
>>
>>31162464
9mm is quieter than 45 acp
>>
>>31162962
.45 has better barrier penetration ability than 9mm
>>
>>31160971
Is this a real question? Get the HK.
>>
>>31161988
Too late for that, AR threads were once reserved for Saturdays and I haven't seen an ATF thread with any good dialog in a while.

Also what the fuck with this "Time stamp or you don't actually own the gun" meme that I'm seeing?
>>
>>31162464
What makes .45 so well-suited for suppression?
>>
>>31163154
The projectile velocity is subsonic, so there is no "sonic boom."

230gr @ 1000 fps > 147gr @1000fps

Most 45 are naturally subsonic

Both 230 grain .45 ACP and 147 grain 9mm have muzzle velocities well below 1000 fps.
>>
>>31162962
No, no it is not.

>9mm fags so insecure their god round has to be the best at everything.
>>
>>31164507
Silencerco's tests say otherwise.
>>
>>31161413
I have an Osprey. It looks cool, it's quiet, and does well, but there's really no point if you have suppressor sights. Since it's not round you have to be able to cam it, and the locking lever for that is a weak point. I don't regret it at all, but being able to use it with lower sights and looking cool are about the only reasons to buy it instead of another can.

>>31160983
USP45T and MK23 have threads going in the opposite directions, or so i hear

individual suppressor models are 100% incompatible, although if you find a good brand for a mk23 they should have an offering for the usp45t

>>
>>31161547
This OP.
>>
>>31164249
Yeah. What he is saying is if we are limiting ourselves to 1000 fps as one does when trying to dynamically supress a pistol with maximum suppression, then the heavier bullet is going to hit harder/ penetrate better.

And he is right.

What the 9mmfags are saying is that, other things being equal, sub 9mm is usually quieter than 45 when supressed. Which should not be a surprise. Smaller bullet, less gas, ect.

None of this matters

If your singular, sole, only single solitary criterium is that it "works," then literally 99.9% of all of the big "name brand" guns "work." Glock, Sig, HK, Beretta, Colt, S&W, CZ, the list goes on. They "work" too.

Thanks for your unresearched, knee jerk opinion. This is a great indicator for the validity of opinions you'll get from /k/. That gun performs as well if not better than fnx and usp. But uninformed brand whores like these two fags muddy the water with their blatant ignorance...I recommend both of you kill yourselves, because if you conduct your life like you conduct yourselves on this forum you cannot live a normal comfortable life. The severity of your ignorance is so great I doubt is has bounds. If you can command the fatty blob, inside your misshapen skull to move your stubby, malformed, fingers. Please Google that pistol and it's myriad reviews. It has garnered a great reputation in the gun community. However neither of you two morons would know because you are not part of the informed gun community and you don't belong here. You belong in a coffin after spraying your brains all over the room, that you rent from your mother, with the only pistol you can afford a ruger. 22. In life you have no hope of being successful or making a worthwhile contribution of any kind, however you can approach the fringes of greatness by making yourselves absent from this world and the gene pool you have yet to taint. Please die.
