This. I don't like reading novels. I don't read them often, but "The Road" was a good read.

Probably my favorite habbening story ever, as told by the book. I liked the movie too, but the book really emphasized the psychological aspect. Not a whole lot of habbening stories capture hopelessness like "The Road."

As a post apoc nut I liked it for the gritty realism and the day-to-day hobo survival.
But I would have liked him to go deeper into the world and describe things a little bit further. Especially the communities and raiders groups.

But I'm aware the story was more about living vs surviving and the father trying his darnest to give a relatively good life to his son while he still can.

Didn't like the "happy end" too.

Fug, this movie was not as great as I hoped. I guess if you like cannibals its bretty good but the whole premise of the show seemed to be about death sickness and the "fire" and it just got kinda monotonous.
