why is the ak74? that is supposed to be called the ak74u and it is a carbine, don't they mean the ak47? that is the main weapon of the Russian army

Also there is no ak74u. There is however AKSU (7.62) and AKS-74U (5.45).
AK47 is a western name. It has always been referred to as AK, and AKM later on (stamped receiver).
I recommend you go have a talk with Mr Jack and Mr .45.
