9mm vs 45 ACP

This question has been asked literally at least a million times on the internet. If you can't be bothered doing the most minimal fucking research you're probably too stupid to be trusted with a firearm of any kind.

Either one would kill ya. But not having shot either, I'd assume the bigger one might do a little more damage. But then you've gotta consider mag capacity in pistols, and in revolvers, size seems to go up with round size....
Dual wielded pistols, OP, figure it out. Or you could judge for yourself based on what suits you better vs what does more damage to a pig carcass in damage tests.

Here's the actual science behind it.

The .45 casing is a lot wider than the 9x19. This means that the gas cannot supercharge and give the round the velocity it needs to penetrate aqequitely. The 9x19 on the other hand has a smaller opening, meaning that the round has higher pressure behind it. It's like a hose nozzle basically. The smaller the opening, the higher the pressure. Now, you want a high pressure round so you can actually penetrate the attacker. A .45 is literally like throwing a rock at someone. A 9mm will definitely break the skin. But I ise a .22 for home defense because i know that the pressure is so high that it will go through the attacker, creating a vacuum vortex in his chest and collapsing him. If I was invading a home and saw my friend collapse on himself i'd be gonzoes.

Tldr use a .22 don't be a fag.

.45 Long Colt is easier on the ears than 9mm

Of course it's wise to wear ear muffs or pluggs...but if we are talking about a "suddenly, ninjas out of nowhere!" Scenario then fat slower bullets cause less ear damage than smaller fast bullets.

Yeah shot placement shot placement but some times in high stress scenarios you are not able to take your time to carefully aim surgical shots.

So dealing with magdumps or rapid fire, bigger is better and old war vets prefer 7.62x39 over 5.45x39 or or with Americans, some old vietnam vets prefered .308 over 5.56mm

While science guys try to rule it out, bugger and heavier bullets have an observable affect of penetrating cover or causing larger wounds on enemy combatants.

i've got the Colt 1991A1 compact model.
mags it came with only hold 6 rounds.
I think I can use some of the 7 or 8 rounders if they're the right kind though.

I've researched this 9mm vs .45 issue thoroughly, listened to the 9mm detractors and the .45 naysayers, and am satisfied as to the truly indisputable final word on the subject, which is this: Neither caliber will even kill a human being, unless maybe it enters the eye on a straight path through the brain and out the brain stem. Even then, the attacker will keep coming, attack and rape you, stop for coffee and to go number 2 in your bathroom, force you to make him a sandwich, then attack you some more until you are dead, do his standard evening calisthenics routine over your dead body, have a nap, go home, read the news story about your untimely death, attend your funeral and go back home before he even realizes he's been shot.
For 9mm, this is because of the tiny effect of its nearly microscopic round that has not much more effect than a neutrino zipping through on its way to the earth's core and beyond. For .45 it is due to the fact that the slow, large, blunt bullet simply nudges the important internals out of the way and it passes through rather like a brief episode of constipation, aside from a little broken skin, of course.
The only acceptable self defense round is in fact .577 Tyrannosaur, out of a 30" or greater barrel, preferably with a double tap to center mass and one between the eyes.
Of course, shot placement is critical, so the center mass shots should ideally strike within 1cm of the center of the aorta and the left ventricle, respectively, both passing through the spine at the third thoracic vertebra.
NOTE: There is a slight difference of opinion among ballistics experts, with a minority of analysts claiming both 9mm and .45 are effective by pointing out that, in fact, putting a couple of fucking finger sized holes through a body at over Mach 1 is fucking good enough to get said body to knock off the shit it was doing before, starting with voluntary functions like raping and ending with involuntary functions like breathing.

9MM is a lot more effective than it once was to the point where there is a lot of fudlore about it being identical to .40 or .45. 9MM is plenty powerful enough now. It is more effective than .40 or .45 were 25 years ago when this debate mattered more. Modern .40 and .45 ammunition are simply more powerful and causes bigger wound channels. They transfer more energy. Shot for shot, .40 and .45 outperform 9mm. However, as stated at the beginning of this post, 9mm is a super effective round now.
