I like ARs. But I shoot twice a month and I've never taken a proper carbine course.

So there's probably thousands of dudes out there that shoot more often/train more often, and could thereby blow me out of the proverbial water with their Kalashnikovs.

It is know as a very reliable rifle and is endorsed by several Navy Seals. I like it because of it's relatively light recoil and high accuracy. Really it depends on what you need the gun for. Hunting, Self Defense, long range target shooting. It's a good all propose rifle, the balanced type. I personally would recommend it, but it depends entirely on what you need a rifle for and your intended use of it. There is no reason to pick it over any other rifle. It is just a good all purpose rifle. I've seen it used for deer hunting, home defense and target shooting. It's very reliable and easy to work with.

The entire weapon is a multi-tool with many uses beyond shooting shit if you're creative enough. It can survive being used for these crazy things.

It excels at nothing besides being useful and easy to use for anyone and everyone.

Reliability and heavier round. They are great for clearing buildings and their robust design means when you hit someone with the butt it doesnt break. The heavier round means that if you hit someone they usually go down.
The biggest downside is accuracy at long ranges
