So I'm wondering what I should pick up before the election. Ammo is already on my list as well as a G19.

I'm going to post my collection/arsenal and let you fellow /k/ommandos suggest what I get next.

First up is my bolt action guns.
From left to right:
> Mosin nagant 91/30
> Mosin nagant t53
> SMLE no1 mk3
> yugo mauser m24/47
> sporterized .30-40 krag
> marlin model 55 12 gauge

bolt gun not pictured
> smle no5 mk1

Bottom> rossi ranch hand in .357

Consider some sort of modern rifle. Milsurp is fun, but it isn't really worth stockpiling for election season, or for SHTF if youre into that

You can build a decent AR for $500 or so. If you've got some extra money to spend and are more into battle rifles, get a PTR

Next is my semi autos. This includes my one pistol as of right now because I didn't want it to be lonely.
Top to bottom:
> colt m4 .556
> cz75d pcr
> cn romarm sa/cugir
>"ghost" sks

That's everything. Thinking about getting a Daniel defense AR, but then I was thinking that I could get two cheap AR ' S for around the same price.

Let me know what you guys think.

Not quite accurate. Lowers are treated like pistols in this regard.

Buy antiques. the ATF doesn't give a shit about them and doubt the politicians even realize they exist, otherwise they'd be screaming about the ANTIQUE GUN LOOPHOLE and claiming that someone's gonna shoot up a school with a fucking dutch beaumont.

>>31075949
That would have been cool, but I'm happy with it no matter what. Idk why but when it comes to rifles I just love older bolt actions. I think it has to do with the fact that the first gun I ever shot was when I was a boy scout. Bolt action .30-06

Mags, mags, more mags. Ammo, ammo. Mags. Ammo. AR15 lower receivers, AR15 80% lowers, AR15 barrels and parts, mags. AK building tools, AK flats, mags. Ammo, AK/AR15/FAL/G3/anything with a pistol grip or a shoulder thingy that goes up or the thingy on the barrel that makes it shoot more bullets faster.

Did you really not know the answer to your question before you posted a bunch of irrelevant pictures of nuggets and fud shottys?

>almost always get buyers remorse no matter what

In a similar boat as you on the FAL. Really want to get one before the election but not so sure on DSA, have heard greatly conflicting reports on their quality these days.

Have heard the Voyager is decent enough from /k/ but I could get a part kit and a forged upper for only a few hundred more.

falfiles shits on every DSA less than 10 years old or so but I can't tell if that is /arg/ tier snobbery or fair critisizm at this point.
>>
>>31076042
you asked about buying shit presumably before the upcoming election, presumably because you are afraid of the rising costs and scarcity of items following panic buying. rest assured the demand on antique swiss rifles and early 1900s bolt actions is not going to be affected by a hillary presidency this november or gun control rhetoric following a school shooting

if you arent interested in "assault" type weapons, why did you make this thread

gun oil and fine steel on the blued parts, working carefully so as to not remove any of the original finish. the remainder of the parts were originally left in the white, so I could be more agressive. for those I used 220 grit using a needle file as a backer to preserve the edges, followed up with 400 and 600 grit. the flat sections were all originally jeweled but I haven't gotten around to re-creating that yet, need an hour or two on the milling machine for that.

next project is going to be making some .32 short colt ammo for it by cutting down some 32 S&W long brass and resizing to .316"

I suppose it really depends on who wins, if Hillary wins just buy a shitload of "big" magazines and AR-15 parts, they'll be worth their weight in gold.

If it looks like Trump will win buy SHTF stuff, the leftists will probably riot and Obama won't exactly be helpful to local and state authorities when it comes to restoring order. You might be living in Ferguson conditions for a few days depending on where you live.
>>
>>31076687
The ATF agents make sure you do this during regular audits.

I have personally seen ATF agents audit bound books with a stack of printed NICS checks with customer info, SSN, transaction ID's and "rifle shotgun or pistol" organized neatly in rows.

The information that goes to NICS is duplicated and probably sent to "other" agencies where the ATF has access for audit reasons(right now) even after the time frame where that information is supposed to "expire"
>>
>>31075771>>31076670

only for handguns
>>
>>31076871
Also rifles but only through the NICS system
>>
>>31072541
Buy a good quality AR-15.; buy two if you can.

Buy 5.56, either M855 or M193.
Then buy more 5.56.
And even more 5.56.

Then buy magazines
And buy more magazines.
And even more magazines.

There is never such thing as "too much ammo" or "too many magazines". I'd feel comfortable with having 20 good AR-15 magazines and 2000 rounds of ammo, but I would keep on expanding if I could.

I love the Krag.

A pistol. If shit really does go down nationally, or even globally, you want a pistol to tuck in your belt. 9mm and up, I suggest either a .40 or a double-stack .45.
>>
>>31077169
if you don't want to be on any lists I would.
>>
>>31077156

>>31072541
The election won't cause a huge scare unless Congress also goes blue in one or both houses. However, the things that got really scarce in 2013 were as follows:

>.22lr ammo (it's still hard to find it for under 8 cents per round)
>9mm ammo
>5.56 ammo
>7.62x39 ammo
>black rifles
>AR lowers
>black rifle magazines - particularly the higher quality, higher capacity ones
>high capacity pistol magazines
>reloading supplies, powder, etc.
>ALL GUNS, ALL MAGAZINES, ALL CALIBERS OF AMMO, ALL ACCESSORIES (only for a short time during the height of the scare, though)
Also, make sure you buy your most lethal, blackest babby-killers through the secondary market to avoid being registered to the ATF's secret kill list.

Don't bother stockpiling .40S&W ammunition, since it will always be available, but you might want to stock up with a .40 caliber handgun or two, to see you through the dark times.
