Fagg/o/t usually, but I've been googling with no real hits.
Minivans have sliding doors.
Helicopters have sliding doors.
Helicopters have door gunners.
What about door gunners in a minivan as a technical vehicle? Stupid? Feasible?
Thoughts /k/ommandos?
Love,

Helicopters can spin. Minivans cannot.

Whats with those helmets
>>31068870
Canadians.
>>31068870
HGU-56.
They have integrated comms and ear pro like a tanker helmet, and a visor to protect the eyes. There's an optional face shield, but apparently it kind of sucks to wear.
Wouldn't work. You'd run into too many problems (turning circle, moving targets, etc.).
However, what would be useful for a minivan is if you took the top off of the back, such as in pic related

Am I retarded or does that belt not contain any ammo?
>>31068889
Linkless feeding system, no ammo in it.

The Ahhrnold movie "The Last Action Hero" has a scene where a minivan opens to a minigunner trying to off him.

If the guns are mounted outboard, wouldn't they cover almost 180 degrees of field of fire?

>If the guns are mounted outboard, wouldn't they cover almost 180 degrees of field of fire?
Yeah, but a pickup-based technical has 360 degrees.

I just want to see a minivan with some miniguns mounted on each side door... :(

Whats the original purpose of this mask he wears?
>>31069156
Nobody cared who he was until he put on the mask.
>>31069285
If he takes it off will he die?
If you armoured the minivan it would have the positive effect over conventional pickups of protecting the gunner from angles he was not already engaging. So I don't think its as useless as it seems. Conventional technicals aren't constantly engaging 360 threats. However, reversing in and out of cover would be much more difficult.

Helicopter loadmasters / gunners wear them to protect their face from shit that gets blown up in their face when landing; it's a lot harder to gun if you're getting sandblasted in the face.

my mom owned a minivan when i was in elementary school so she could bus around all my faggot friends
We used to treat it like a war transport, i used to jump in or out of it while moving because she would start to drive away if I was late to school
For you

Easier to counter the threat if it's standard mounted on right or left side. This is large army thought. You're better having it top mounted, like every other gun truck the world has produced. But conceptually your field of fire would be severely limited. I see this and think Barrel inside vehicle. Which would mean the area you can actually pivot on the mount is limited.

You could have at least posted a fast rwd stock van. If I recall, there was a Chrysler turbovan, and also, the ecoboost ford transit could do this stock, and cost way less.
