I am thinking about getting into skeet shooting and I need a over-under shotgun.

Thats an expensive endeavor you've chosen friend.
Can't go wrong with a Benelli, Beretta, or Browning.
Personally I prefer to buy a more affordable one or a used one. Stoeger makes a few Over/Unders worth looking at.
The shotgun don't matter as long as its a sporting over/under.
I have the cheapest skeet shotgun (Baikal mp27 sporting) and im wrecking everyone with Perazzis or Berettas.
Take time to set up the right chokes whatever shotgun you chose to buy.

I own Franchi Diamond and it's great. I've yet to see a sub-$1k o/u with a better lock up. The only issue I've had was that auto-safe made opening the action a bit stiff, but removing it literally took 3 mins.
Ive got some turk made cz over under. Its got two triggers and is a 20 gauge, is it even worth taking out to a skeet/trap range or is it best flr just shooting doves?
Whats a typical choke setup look like? Do they just use cylinder and modified, the clays at the olymlics didnt look like they flew out too far before they were shot
Why are O/Us far more expensive than pump shotties? Pumps are far lighter and more practical.

Because getting the barrels perfectly aligned is difficult, and people expect a certain standard of quality for the wood and finish.

Skeet/Skeet or Cylinder/Cylinder. Everything's close in skeet, so I wouldn't worry too much about having two different constrictions.
Some guys use "spreader" chokes, which technically isn't a choke at all because it's more open than cylinder.
The first time I ever shot skeet I was using a Winchester trap O/U which was fixed choked Full/Full. I missed a lot of birds but the ones I did hit absolutely disappeared.
If you are shopping used or cheaper line new just make sure it has first barrel select lever. Usually the safety switch slides left or right for which barrel fires first. Indispensable in sporting clays. Pic related my Turkish "taliban" gun.

Because break actions are far more expensive to make and require a very precise fit on some parts.
Compared to a pump action which is a tube, with another tube, and a simple mass produced action which any moron can slap together and make it work
