Stand on top of the tank and fire it into the opened hatch.

I don't think a shaped charge of sufficient power is possible in a 12ga bore, you're not going to penetrate a lot. I don't even know if shaped charge projectiles that small even exist.

If we're talkin about something like a gun propelled AT grenade, that's something else.

I'm certain you could fit a decent HE payload in a 12ga projectile, in family with 20mm HEIT, but that's not going to hurt a tank.

I always played with the idea of modern AT rifles (or in this case shotguns) as a means of quickly degrading a tanks fighting ability. Nothing shoulder fired could actually destroy modern armor, but with exposed optics and electronics it could be possible to design munitions that button the vehicle. Maybe even rounds designed to detonate era or prematurely activated APS to frustrate A-AT defenses.

If you had something similar to a rifle launched grenade, then maybe. First round fired would be a blank, it'd launch a rifle grenade that would somehow hit the tank (aiming or have it designed similar to an ICM submunition aimed at the engine or a hatch. The subsequent rounds in the tube would be a round for breaching a hatch, killing the occupants.

High velocity slugs hitting the the hubs of the road wheels or drive wheels could possibly disable it. It would take multiple, precise shots but it's possible.

Shotgun is low velocity and insufficient bore for either a kinetic penetrator or shaped-charge AT.

Fit a rifle grenade launcher spigot
Load 12g blank
Fire larger diameter shaped-charge HEAT grenade
Note that it will have reduced range due to lower muzzle pressure propelling grenade, so will have to be closer to tank.
