What can you tell me about SKS? Is it really a piece of shit like every other russian weapon?
Gr8 b8.
But for anyonese wondering. No it is not a piece of shit and Russian weapons rarely are. Not trying to be a slavaboo but real Russian weapons- not clones- tend to be pretty hardy. Sks is no different.
The SKS is a fantastic gun for general civvie use, and had it been around in WWII might have given the Garand a run for its money at short range. It's just not as good as the AK-47 for combat use, which is why it got phased out so quickly.
In its day it was fantastic.
When judged by today's standards it's only mediocre at best.
They were great budget guns when they were under $200 a pop but now that they're $400 or more there is no real reason to buy one other than as a collector's item or cool factor.

Good gun, but came too late, at least for Russian use
Would've been very useful in WWII

Vietnam, but the SKS was also used in what I assume more frequently by the Vietcong

AK-47s aren't as rare as you think. Even type 1s show up.

Do not be that faggot that pointlessly argues semantics. It just makes you look like an asshat.

Korea, Vietnam, various rebellion-crushing activities in eastern Europe...
