On a scale of 1-10, how incorrect is this?
>>31025381
fug i mean 0, i though it said correct
>>31025328
Typically I recommend aiming at the center of the target, but to each his own I guess.
>>31025417
I'd agree with you, but this seems to only be about the shooter's focus.
>>31025328
Idk OP, i always thought that you were supposed to focus on your target after the sights were aligned properly.
>>31025417
his sights are at 6 o'clock alignment, so he is aiming at the center of the target
Ugh seen this is a highly debated topic. PERSONALLY, I think it is correct because this is how i personally shoot, and I maintain better accuracy this way. Other people like to moo onthat you should have your target in focus or something

What if your target can be obscured by focusing on the front sight?
Not every shoot is a self defense shoot at 4 feet.
>>31025511
>What if your target can be obscured by focusing on the front sight?
That is absolutely stupid. Pistols are not long ranged weapons (in MOST cases) and do not require you to bounce focus inbetween the front sight post and the target. It is customary for long ranged weapons to use finer iron sights or optics, as the bulky pistol sights are mainly for close quarters
>>31025536
I interpreted the OP to be asking in general, not specifically about pistols. So you've got a point there.
>>31025511
if your target is obscured by the front sight, youre not aiming at yur target appropriately
>>31025649
>I've never shot a rifle at a silhouette 300m away the post
>>31025649
>He can't shoot with irons on a rifle at distance
>>31025686
>>31025731
I thought this as well but wanted to give him reasonable doubt. Even if you have trouble putting the IRONS on the target, you can adjust the sights so the bullet hits at or above the tip of the front sight. Had a buddy that liked his that way
>>31025328
You do not aim with a pistol you use the force.
>>31025851
I like mine target sitting on top of sights with pistol, but directly behind with rifle. Iron sights only obviously
>>31025328
Correct
>>31025731
>using irons on a rifle
It's 2016 nigga, use a scope
>>31025328
transition between frame 1 and frame 3 as needed to aquire sight picture, fire using frame 3 since you used frame 1 and know what youre aiming at

>shooting a handgun at 300m
look at this fucking tryhard nigger
>>31026850
Your scope breaks, or is battery operated because you are a stupid tryhard cunt. Now what do you do?
>>31026850
Not knowing how to shoot irons and needing a scope SMDH it's 2016.
Everybody has a different way of shooting. Would you tell annie oakley that shooting backwards with a mirror is wrong?
Personally I absolutely have to focus on the target or else I dont notice slight errors on my part of where I'm aiming. Also, with nearly all pistols except revolvers for some reason, I have to obscure the hole I want to make with the fuzzy front dot.
Works for me just fine.
tl;dr change shit up until you realize your bullets go where you want
That's how they taught us in the army, so correct

I have difficulty quickly aiming and lining up the front sigh post in between the two rear posts. What should I do to improve?
>>31025417
Hold overs are full blown autistic.
>>31027015
Read the fucking post you troglodyte.
>>31025328
Opera image is correct. And also very very hard to do. I find if I make my front sight orange I pick it up better
