Literally any of my centerfire long guns since I can see many hundreds of yards.
I often use my pellet rifles or extremely tightly choked shotgun and birdshot for regular critters, but 762, 545, and 54r have also seen use.
I've taken a couple horrible nuisance dogs with both 545 and GT 762x39. Usually a mag over their heads is enough never to see them again, so pretty rare I see them again. They've literally shat themselves running. I absolutely hate being forced to kill dogs, but sometimes you need to do it to prevent your own dog from starting to run with the pack. If they're in a pack, it's too late for redemption, they all need to die for everyone's sake.

skunks have never caused an issue for us in all of the years we have lived on an acreage, and also on my acreage growing up. They just walk around and eat bugs and little snakes.
