It's a really efficient design that allows for the deflection of shrapnel and pistol calibers, and therefore less impact on the wearer, rather than taking them straight on.

We need comms. 50 people running around without comms is a fucking slaughter. Also some med equipment.

I'd probably go with 25 or maybe 30 rifles, hold the rest in support roles and coordination. Drivers, comm people, medics, some dickhead who just runs our quadcopter drone and feeds info to the chain of command

Militia is BYOB (bring your own bombs, boots, and bullshit).
Tell them the revolution starts in one months time.
