I don't think you can really compare the Korean war era PLA with current era PLA. They've been through rounds of modernisation since then. As has everyone else.

Would you compare that same era of USA army to current day? Completely different doctrines, training and materiel. Same goes for them.

It's hard to say anything about the PLA because they haven't fought anyone in the current era. They're probably more patriotic/brainwashed but other than that, who the fuck knows?

Different branches have different camo, there were a lot on display during last years anniversary parade and even PLA infantry have different camo/uniforms as well, I see them in different uniforms sometimes, doing shit.

No. Simply because of sheer numbers. Our Tier 1 special forces number based on best estimates to be around 300 operators and a huge amount of support. The same goes for Russia's Alpha Group, though the number of 'operators' is more official. China has at best estimates 3000-5000 'operators'. Even if they're not half as well trained, they outnumber ours by a significant margin and are backed by an nation that is willing to throw the type of money at them we throw at our operators.

Also what do the Russian guys call themselves? I know it isn't operators.

Was under the impression that China had a vast stockpile of medium range missiles and strategies aimed at preventing US aircraft carriers getting near enough should China launch a assault on Taiwan. After the famous incident when the US carrier down the Taiwan straits decades ago.

Do other countries not do the high level of drill/parade that UK does? Why is that?
