I know, I have 3 gen 3s and they work perfectly for me. Gen 4s are supposed to be more accommodating for different shooters but I haven't noticed any real difference.

I hope the Gen 5 tougher finish resembles the older shiny tenifer. The newer matte version is so easy to ding.

It annoys me how quickly they were able to release a gun with some of these changes just because the FBI requested them, even though consumers have been requesting them for a decade. It's like they don't believe in their market. Glock must think that the people requesting a grooveless grip are just a vocal minority and wouldn't actually buy more Glocks if the grips were fixed. It also annoys me that they didn't make all the changes that people want, and many of these changes are ones no one asked for.

The change in the rifling is an FBI pistol identifier that scratches into the jacket.
A longer recoil spring assembly will spread the recoil forces out.
front lip is another FBI thing, so agents can rip mags out if they get stuck.

Holy shit I didn't realize the locking block pin was missing in that picture, are they going back to the Gen one integrated locking block?

Rifling change is not necessary, but may be a good idea, flared magwell isn't a terrible idea but is annoying for printing while CCing

Front magazine lip is a good idea I suppose, and obviously the finger grooves that no one likes is a plus too.
