the newest version......it does it's job fine. No need to replace a plane when the current one does it's job perfectly fine
>>
>>31000582

Airframes don't age. They just wear down from overuse and lack of maintenance.
>>
>>31000582
The D variant is fully modernized. There's no reason for a different airframe.
>>
>>31000582

Guys can you help me out, I'm thinking of buying a twin prop plane. It needs to be bigger than a emb-110 or similar (will have many passengers), and it needs to have a rear cargo ramp for when I need to load or unload things quickly. Any ideas?

The F-35 :^)

If you had the money to do that, you wouldn't be asking on here, fucknuckle.
>>
>>31001722
Riches do not impart good judgment; I'd like to think it could happen.

I also think fuck-knuckle should be hyphenated, but then maybe it loses some fluidity. I dunno.
>>
>>31000582
Satellites. Too bad the US is a backwards shithole that can't backengineer 70s Soviet technology.
>>
>>31001706
>That save
Pilot must've shat himself and felt like a god at the same time
>>
>>31001738
That wasn't my point, if you had the money to drop on that, you'd ask people who actually know anything about the subject, i.e. other people with prop planes, who you would know, since you wouldn't bother buying one unless you could fly it.
Get fuck asshat.
>>
>>31001769
Seriously, I give nothing but mad props to naval aviators, fuck landing on a god damn carrier that shit is terrifying.
>>
why the fuck does that stupid prop plane cost almost the same as the F22
>>
>>31001874
Because it has a massive radar on it.

0/10, try again.

He'll do that, too. /k/ gives him the perspective of pilots and maintenance guys in an environment where they feel free to speak honestly. It might give him ideas of where to send an RFP to.

three pilots got medals for that save, the aircraft commander is actually a officer and gentalman of African decent

Cost is a concern to everyone, dipshit.

Even the most recent programs like the JSF and LRS-B are designed around affordability and cost savings.

Burgershit backpedaling.

Aluminum does age; unlike iron based alloys, they permanently deform with use, which is why airplanes have limited lifetimes based on loading.

The growler is made from an f18. Why not?

A new improved version. Funnily enough, they're making one right now.

That's one hell of a save!

>the US has infinite wealth

no. No we do not. Our spy satellites are incredible, but have limitations.

>expensive
>cant cover as much as you would want quickly
>takes time to get into a new orbit
>difficult to replace
>easy to find if your enemy is reasonably advanced.

there are plenty of reasons not to make every last thing a sat. Its the same type of thinking behind the rods from god concept
