Did you lie at MEPS?
>>30995699
About my depression, yes.
>>30995768
What he said ^
Don't fuck with them. You wanna fill the shoes they stomped dirt with? That's what your asking for.
>>30995699
ofcourse, everyone did
how do you think the military got filled almost exclusively with budding pyschopaths, god complex sociopaths, druggies, alcoholics, and various other "never technically diagnosed" nonviolent nutcases?
>>30995699
yup lied about the foreign countries i've been too. you'd think they could just check my passport but that'd make too much sense.
I didn't tell them about the time I broke my arm when I was three.
I'm hardcore.
>>30995836
>how do you think the military got filled almost exclusively with budding pyschopaths, god complex sociopaths, druggies, alcoholics, and various other "never technically diagnosed" nonviolent nutcases?
That's literally every professional Army in recorded history anon. I'm an Iraq war veteran and after studying some military history I'd even say the US military is one of the most well trained and benevolent forces to ever exist.
>>30995699
how come all of their chests are shaved?
>>30995859
Death to all zionist juice?
That dude with the tats wont be able to enlist. js
>>30997343
>not knowing that chest hair is a relatively non-prominent trait for whites
I don't grow a single hair on my chest past my groin.
Feels good not being a filthy I-Tie.
>>30997724
Tattoo regs are super leniant now so long as you can explain the rational behind them and they're non-explicit, dude in my unit had fucking full sleeves THAT WENT BEYOND HIS WRISTS.
>>30995907
>US military is one of the most well trained and benevolent forces to ever exist
>lose Vietnam
>can't beat isis
>>30995699
Yep Im a citizen of a foreign country. Recruiter told me to shut the fuck up.
>>30997343
This is obviously a casting call for a gay porn shoot.
>>30997755
The US military could beat ISIS in short order. However, Obama has a jar on is desk containing the balls of the top military commanders. They are forbidden from effective means.
>>30995699
Yes, pretty much said I had never had a cold. They were all good, I was good.
Unless your medical history (present conditions included) is going to realistically impact your future service, don't fucking mention it.
The one thing I would recommend after service and lurking here is be honest with yourselves. Look to potentially save yourself and a shit load of other people a great deal of frustration and time.
>>30997824
What army isn't?
>All that attention to detail. Polished medals. Tight berets. Emphasis on fitness. Lining up and marching. Singing while you run.
The military is one giant homoerotic fashion show.
>>30997755
>>US military is one of the most well trained and benevolent forces to ever exist

>>can't beat isis
Politicians lost Vietnam and we haven't even had a ground war against ISIS, I guarantee that if the full brunt of the US military was brought to Syria and Iraq ISIS get slaughtered by the thousands and quickly return to the low intensity insurgency tactics it's predecessor AQI was using before we left in 2013.
Yeah. When they asked if OP wasabi insufferable faggot, I told them "No."
I'm so ashamed.
I can't even snark without fucking autocorrect blowing it.
>>30995699
>did you lie in MEPS
My ass off, yes.
>>30997738
>>not knowing that chest hair is a relatively non-prominent trait for whites
The hell are you high on? Chest hair is pretty much just a white and arab thing.
>>30995699
A stretched the truth
>>30995699
Nope. Childhood asthma. Took an extra month or 2 to get the waiver in place. Not sure it was worth it.
Also didn't like about breaking my arm as a kid. Then forgot about it while filling out a different medical form at MEPS & had to redo the whole stupid thing because "but you said you broke your arm on this form! Are you lying!?!?"
7 years in, commissioned in active duty (started off enlisted ANG), admit to recent EoE diagnosis. This kicks off a nearly year-long period of the AF trying to board me out. Still in.
*sigh*
You'd think I'd learn, right?
>>30995699
Lied about a broken ankle in the past. Made it through BCT, graduated 4 days ago.
One kid in my platoon lied about all kinds of heart problems which were quickly discovered during basic and he was sent home.
About depression yup but everyone lies about depression
If you even mildly hint that you are depressed in any way you'll be pretty much booted out but all the MOs know it's bullshit and that everyone is incredibly depressed
>>30999573
>graduated 4 days ago
Fuuuuck off, boot.
>>30995699
I wish I had.
>"'NO' stands for 'new opportunities.'"
>you'll never be a shithead teenager with shit taste in tattoos again
I don't feel so bad about being in my 30s now
>>30995699
they're literally all skinny fat.
is this why america cant win wars anymore?
>>30995699
i accidentally farted during the duck walk portion. it was awful.
>>30995699
I didn't
>Had messed up last few years of high school
>Dad is constantly having affairs
>Mother is falling the fuck apart
>Sister is a edgy bitch
>Bullied non stop at school till the last day
>Never diagnosed with depression but I know I was fucking depressed
>Wanted to sign up as soon as hs ends
>At recruitment HQ
>Tell them everything, expecting them to understand like the dumb ass I am
>"We can't accept you"
>Heartbreak.jpg
>start shouting at recruiter
>About to start begging
>"I'll give you this one chance, you have a year to get psychiatrically cleared"
>Get it done, go back and sign up
>Find myself, make the best friends I could ever ask for and learn to love myself and others
>Get out and realize how much I needed the military
>Shudder at the thought of where my life would be without it
Gonna probably going to back after uni
