Depends on what you're doing. Any "tactical gear" I have better do something that my hiking gear can't do, or do it better for me to use it for anything but novelty/quick trip.

Not a fan of wearing most camo while /out/, my 3 color boonie doesn't attract attention but I'm by the Rockies so it's not so useful camo-wise. So anything "tactical" I have is in plain muted colors as is anything commercial.

Trying to decide if a hillpeople chest bag is too "tactical" to wear hiking, can't find a good way to carry with a backpack on.

GQ, I'm finally getting all my gear situated and have come to an issue with my holster. I've got a Blackhawk CQC that I did use for CC, but now I've mounted it to my battle belt using a Strike panel.

The problem is that the CQC pushed the pistol up so high it catches and hangs on my cummerbund. I decided to try to find a drop/ offset mount that will interface between the CQC and the Strike panel.

Are the hole patterns on these holsters a universal pattern? Also, can anyone recommend a drop/ offset adapter as it looks like the only one Blackhawk makes has belt loops at the top and not a hole pattern to mount to the Strike panel.
