Would blasters have recoil? (remember they shoot plasma bolts, not actual lasers)
Would vibroblades actually do anything more than a normal blade? Either in combat or in normal kitchen/utility cutting tasks
General Star Wars /k/ thread

Plasma has mass, so yeah, there should be recoil.
>>30991296
In this webm the clones are recoiling, so what is OP saying?
>>30990718
>vibroblades
Vibroweapons are normal weapons cranked up to 11.
They can literally take limbs off with glance blows. If I recall, the force pike has a story about how a guy lost his arm when a Stormtrooper tapped his shoulder with one. That pretty much sums up vibroweapons.
So yeah, vibroblades get shit done.

This cartoon is not a cannon.
I don't see why they wouldn't
>inb4 FILM THEORY
>>30991386
It was canonical at the time it was made
>>30991296
for being top soliders they sure dont know how to lead the target
I'd love a standalone 'rogue one' style series based on a specialist unit of storm troopers, it would be half combat action and half political drama because of the empires no doubt complex political beaurocracy, think a futuristic game of thrones crossed with band of brothers, hopefully they would be well knitted out instead of looking like plastic retards.

So, basically a Battlefront 2/Republic Commando hybrid? I'd fund it.
>>30992218
>empire's complex bureaucracy
They blew their own imperial counsel

>This cartoon is not a cannon.
It is canon

Somewhere Karen Traviss is REEEEEing.

>Would vibroblades actually do anything more than a normal blade
They're cortosis weaved weapons, they are actually solid metal, but can withstand lightsaber blows like it was nothing.
Plus they vibrate like a motherfucker, so the sci fi rule of cool makes it deadlier than magical katanas folded a gorillion times.
>Either in combat or in normal kitchen/utility cutting tasks
Definitly overkill in situations other than combat. Vibro-Kitchen knife would be like having a Cold Steel tactical spatula with picatinny rails in our universe.

I meant IRL, not in the star wars universe. If I went and duct taped a vibrator to a chef's knife could I cut stuff any easier?
>>30991386
Yes it is
>>30995855
go try it
I hated how the blaster the first order issues has the magazine swapped to the other side. it wouldnt be practical from an operator standpoint.
which is /k/'s favorite blaster?
>>30995855
>duct taped a vibrator to a chef's knife
theoretically it would need to oscillate on such a high frequency that it could cause limbs to dismemeber, so unless you pound your boipucci with something that would turn your colon into Campbells Chunky, no dice.

yfw they finished Free Radical's battlefront 3 and were about to release it for free but EA bawwwwed so they put of a cease and desist on it.

The CG one is, the Genndy one isn't.
>>30995679
Hell when I watched that series I REEEd
>>30998686
which is sad because i liked it much more than the CG one.
never made sense for Anakin to have had a padawan, they never mention it whatsoever and youd think that they would have brought it up to him.
plus they dont even mention how Anakin became a knight. i watched a few episodes but lost interest when it started to get sketchy. like Maul coming back.
>>30998717
me too, vod.
is there one of these for Rebels?
Republic Commando was operator as fuck.
God damn, I loved that game
>>30996640
The Extended Universe is no longer Canon because Disney said so.

I remember playing Republic commando and being in such denial that he was gone, I was convinced he was gonna show up in the end.
His death crushed me more than any other vidya death.

Am I the only one that flipped shit a little when they made a cameo on the clone wars?
>>30990718
A blaster would have recoil due to plasma having mass.
A vibroblade would cut really well but would have to use batteries.
>>30999193
No joke, it gave me a half chub.
>>30990718
Plasma has mass, and assuming Newton's 3rd law still applies, yes, there would be recoil.
However the amount of recoil is questionable. Gas itself is very light, so I'd imagine plasma would even be lighter. Not to mention the velocity of blaster fire is rather slow if you think of it.

Oh hell yes. One of my favorite games ever
