Different anon here, but there are some Kriss type mag extensions for 10mm glocks that modify the original magazines to around double their original capacity. I have heard those are pretty good. As far as 1911s go, I have considered the 25 rounder promags but I haven't heard anything about them.

I store mine with one less round than full load on them and try not to cycle the preloaded ones too much. Why? I read somewhere that the wear on the spring comes from the loading and unloading of pressure on it...what wears it out is the changes.
