Thinking about buying pic related. 7.62 or 5.56? Opinions on Century Arms?
It does pew pew, but others might do the same, but better.
>>30979955
More research then on brands.
Trying to decide on a caliber. Guess it's probably just personal preference.
>>30979946
Century blows
>>30979946
If you didn't know, the century arms AK pistol isn't required to have any US made parts in it, no century monkeys have fucked with it.
>>30980049
No shit? Well fuck, I should just buy a PAP pistol then.
>>30979946
dont go 5.56 ... i went 5.56 on an ak pistol and it jams
>>30979946
I own a Century AK, pic related.
I have no complaints, honestly. My only qualm is with the cheap-ass 7.62 ammo I bought. Other than that, the rifle itself is fairly nice. Ran me about $800 overall. Makes a nice addition to a collection
>>30980157
My bad, I didn't realize you were asking about pistols specifically.
My input still stands, though. Watch out for the ammo and you'll alright alright alright
>>30979946
Unless you're getting a stamp this shit ain't worth it. Get a side/underfolder for the best of both worlds without government permission. I'm selling mine.

Get a Zastava PAP m85 if you go 5.56
>CHF chrome lined barrel
>good accuracy is being reported
>accepts all the AR mags you probably have plenty of (except gen 3 pmags)
>can be had under 500 shekels online
>the factory isn't making anymore so get em while you can
>>30980187
I thought Zastava didn't chrome any of their barrels?
>>30980187
>cold hammer forged
Yes.
>chrome-lined barrel
No.
>>30979946
Go with an AR pistol. You can still legally shoulder the pistol buffer tube in public without it being murky grey area "arm brace" shit.
>>30980203
They do on the M85. Not on the M92. Kinda backwards if you ask me, since you'll run into a lot more corrosive 7.62 out there.
>>30980204
Without reverting to the "CL barrels aren't accurate" meme, can you tell me why it's a bad thing?
>>30980233
Chrome lined barrels are preferable IMO because of added longevity and ease of cleaning. Yeah I know the whole accuracy thing (it adds something extra to the barrel!!!) but it seems negligible to me. Yeah, nitrided barrels are a thing now but I still have much dick hard for one that's chrome-lined.
>>30980233
I think meant that it doesn't have a chrome lined barrel. Zastava generally doesn't fuck with chrome lining so he's probably skeptical that the barrel is chrome lined.
I've got an M92
I like it
>>30980339
How much more barrel life will you get?
If the gun is $600, then why worry about it?
>>30979946
I've got an m92 and it's a lot of fun. Unless you sbr it, it's a toy and because of that, you should get one in 7.62. The fireball/concussion/noise is pretty great.
>>30980368
I just like things that last. I know i probably won't wear out the barrel in my lifetime, but i know it will last several. Kind of the same logic why I spend money on Matco tools versus Harbor Freight.
>>30980648
If you shoot on a regular basis (500 rds every two months), you will wear out a barrel in six or seven years.
>>30980698
I have 2 wasr aks and 3 sks, between all 5 I probably do 1,500 rounds per year. But yeah, if I were slinging lead at the frequency you mentioned I can see them getting worn.
>>30980163
you only dont like it because you have a mini. the micro is how you should live life
>>30980777
Even if my M92's barrel os shot out I'd still shoot it because it goes "bang"
Just get either an M92 or M85
I've heard that the AR mag adapter on the M85NP is eh though, and M85PVs are hard to find now (since they were cleared out for the NP). PV mags were also cleared out for dirt cheap just last year, but now they're a bit pricey when you can find them.
I'm going to be buying an M92 soon myself, provided they are still available when I can.
>>30980224
Is dis true?
>>30981361
If it's just a bare tube, yes.
Although a tube is way to short to shoulder properly anyway, unless you have an extremely short LOP. You can add a saddle, but that only adds a little bit of lop and looks fucking terrible, and it technically would fall under their bullshit definition of "redesign" if you shoulder the saddle.
technically if you shoulder the buffer tube it's also "redesign", but the buffer tube is for the most part essential for AR operation.
>>30981361
The ATF has basically sent out opinion letters to brace manufacturers recently talking about how when you shoulder the brace like a rifle you have "redesigned" the rifle into a unregistered SBR.
No one has been prosecuted for this yet but I defiantly don't want to be the test case. Ill wait for someone else to make that mistake first before I invest in a brace.
>>30981442
The ATF has only written about how attached braces "redesign" the pistol if you actually shoulder it.
Saddles are horrible and worthless.
The bare carbine tube is fine if you shoot in the "modern costa tactical" squared off fashion with your nose close to the charging handle. I'm 6'5" and have no problem with it.
If you really need to you can also put a rifle or "extended pistol" buffer tube on your pistol for a longer LOP. Just dremel off the threaded screw hole on the back end.

Any issues with these by state, or are they always considered a pistol? S FL reporting in.

I'm not sure how legal a loaded pistol in the car is if you don't have a CCP though.
My CCP is coming in and I want to keep something in the car, I really only have my rifle or pistol. Can I keep a loaded rifle in a gun case?
>>30985435
Concealed carry in Florida in a vehicle. No problem. It just has to be concealed. You can have a locked and loaded rifle in the front seat with you - as long as it is concealed.
Loaded Firearm in vehicle without carry permit, keep it loaded and concealed - must be in a SNAPPED SNAP HOLSTER.
>>30985478
So my MCX case is fine? It snaps on. No lock though.
>>30985506
Yeah that's fine. No need for a lock, as long as the case is snapped, lol excuse me mr. basketball american let me unlock my gun case.
>>30985592
Thanks. Feels good to be free. My coworkers and I see a new crack head doing something ridiculous every week. My ex always told me I was paranoid around hobos and poor people because I just wasn't exposed to them enough. Well, I'm just more scared now.
>>30985620
I'm not paranoid either but if the time comes and I need a weapon and don't have it then I've failed myself and the others I'm trying to protect.
