Why are San Fran sheriff's so anally retentive? I am a white guy, early 20's, was visiting SF a few years ago, and had to go through a metal detector to get into a social function for a bunch of cyber-security experts that was taking place at city-hall. Got harassed on my way through the metal detector. They took my keys, could only get them back at the end of the night, plus the fact I had to go through the fucking MD.
