That is probably the reason, seeing true camos, not "digital" crap, soldiers actually knew how to use sights, tanks and jets were actually combat proven, not just propaganda bullshit for circlejerking with "secret tech" that is never tested because they only bomb ragheads.

OP here, I agree with all of your points. too many of circle jerks aren't actually proven in fighter combat and our troops look like mall ninjas. war just feels so non-aesthetic. the Vietnam War was kind of aesthetic, but is hard to use a term like that when my great uncle can't talk about Vietnam.
