put a p30 v3 on lay away today, so im pretty pumped to talk about h&k guns.
>inb4 only poorfags use lay away
i could afford it, but im not 21 quite yet so just locking in the price before pre election price gouging sets in.
>>
any p30 owners on here? i want to carry this gun, at least through jacket weather. is it a owb only or could do iwb? id like to iwb, but if its not feasible thats okay.

>is it a owb only or could do iwb? id like to iwb, but if its not feasible thats okay.
Anything is feasible in a breathable undershirt and a one size too large t-shirt.
i.e. if you wear an L wear an XL. It's not that hard, it doesn't matter if anybody notices anyways. Their right of fear doesn't trump your right to carry
>>
>>30974453
You're either lying or a poorfag, I suspect both. The gun control act of 68 prohibits dealers from selling to anyone under 21.

Apparently layaway doesn't count, because I was with him today when he did it

The camera really makes those frames look plum
>>
>>30975244
just like a silencer, you can put money down on a firearm before youve done the paperwork for it and it remains in "jail" with the shop. i have not bought a firearm, i have left a deposit to ensure i pay that price for that particular firearm that I will pay in full inside of 60 days, unless i request more time. there is nothing illegal about that.

furthermore, by my state laws, sub 21s can apply for a restricted pistol purchase permit. directly from the sherrif's office of the most populous county in the state, that retricted permit allows vendors, both private and ffl, at their discretion, sell you a firearm.

OP here. I am not a trigger snob. but I'm not going to pretend like the p30 has a good trigger. The weight wasn't bad, but it was creppy, and the resent was not tactile. now, I was dry firing, but I would go too far out on the reset, because i would feel it, but it was so weak that it didn't register quickly and I went further than necessary. trigger time will fix that, but as someone who's replaced entire trigger groups, individual parts, and am willing to do some polishing, what could I buy or polish to improve the trigger. doesn't have to be dramatic, just sufficent for the additional money or effort. I know there's one anon who with his usp pistols polishes a specific part of the trigger bar, and he did a lovely look at all the parts of a match trigger set for the USP. but what about for the p series?
>>
>>30976121
I would rather buy a custom made mp5 clone from a us maker than that

No matter what anyone tells you, it's a great gun, trigger can be learned with training. It's a "combat" trigger. Get used to it. If I can do this with 5 rounds at 15 yards you should have no problem.

>>30976379
nice. I'm 50/50 on color filling. /k/ hates it, I kinda like it. but I've shot it live before, it's certainly a combat trigger. And ive spent the majority of my shooting on a factory 10/22 trigger and a milspec ar15 trigger, so I'm used to gritty triggers. but if I could clean the trigger up a bit, even if it's a little extra money or effort, I'd do it.

>>30976366
continuing on this, I like the paddlemag on the p30, but it was really small the p2000. I know I could buy a hk45c release, AND I know I with training i could hit that p2000 release, but that giant release on the p30 is nice.

Im assuming you meant what not did I like.
the grip didn't agree with me it had the same problems of the glock 19 grip. my palm meat hangs off the bottom a little and it bothers me. the sides are flat and pretty smooth. the sights aren't bad, but I really like the photolumiecents (fuck spelling). I've only shot the p30 at in indoor range but in indoor light those sights kick ass and really agree with my eyes. I know at night they wont work as well as tritium, but I still like them. It's really small knocks, but for me, it was enough to pay a little more for the p30

I can't get over the dilemma of choosing a Glock 43 or a P30SK for my first carry gun. The Glock would be nice to carry anywhere at any time; the P30SK will complement my full size P30 and there's basically no transitioning between the full size and the SK as the controls are the same.
>>
>>30977712
How about a P30 vs not a bullshit cash grab gun that the G42 and G43 are?

If you want a comfy single stack why not a shield or FNS compact for a nice doubestack. Both better out of the box guns than the glocks

600 dollars for an HK is a bargain, though. It would be a great entry for anyone into the brand (excluding the VP9). I think it says a lot about the competitiveness of the concealed carry market and how tough it is -- why else would they lower the price?

I'm definitely liking the price drops and I think a decent bit of the general premium is probably more import related than the usual superiority memes suggest. Remember when the VP9 came out and half of /k/ was saying it was a poorfag HK for being priced competitively? As far as I know the VP9 wasnt a contract gun to start with so that may have been some of it. Idk of they have a ton of P30s sitting around, or if it's the market pressure of some political slack but it's definitely a win for the civil market.

Fuck tiny guns. Carry the P30. It's not that big anyway. People carry Glock 19s all the time. Hell I can carry a full size double stack .45 without printing. My next carry gun is going to be a full size USP .45. Follow your dreams bro don't listen to the youtubers or gun rag writers "well uhhh this definitely isn't a concealed carry gun" yeah maybe for you little tight-clothes pussy-ass hipster bitch.

Seriously the distinction between "this is a carry gun" and "this is not a carry gun" is all in our minds. I hate when people say something isn't good for CC because THEY can't carry it. Well fuck them, you do you.

Layaway makes a lot of sense for when guns go on sale, or guns that have spotty availability. For example, the CZ 75 SP-01 has been out of stock everywhere for the past few weeks that I've been checking. In the past, I've seen them sell for $600, but other times of the year, you can't get them at all.

The grip is about the same, but the total length is longer on the P30.

OP here fuck you. I love the 320 as a standalone system. it sucks on the front of the rifle, but with a wolf tail and velcro cuff I had no problems carrying it and was really fun doing quals with it.

I would never stick on my rifle given the choice, and thankfully at my unit I do.

I dont have a lot of time on pistols, and ive shot less than 50 rounds through a p30. but im not too worried about the length of the reset or the pull, but a little more tactile would be nice.
i was comparing p2000 and p30 sights. I thought they were both servicable, but i actually really liked the p30 stock sights. not sure if that was clear.

Okay I've not used a 320 (only 203) and I'm not military, so I'll take your word on that. What I've heard is that most soldiers hate it because it's heavier and bulkier than 203, the trigger is atrocious, and there are currently no upgraded munitions to take advantage of the side loading system.

Personally those sights are useless because you have to charge them under a light to use them for 15mins. They are day time only. It's fine if you run a light.

trigger sucks yeah, but its a grenade launcher. and its a nightmare on the rifle because you cant get a good hold of your rifle
