alright /k/ i turned 18 3 days ago, im off to get my first gun, now since i am a manlet (5'6") and i have slender hands, was thinking my first gun should be a Derringer. (BTW i am in snake country) is this the first gun i should have?

I'm assuming through private sale right?
>>30972476
Just get a Glock.
>>30972476
If anyone hasn't said it yet, you have to be 21 to purchase a handgun from an FFL.
However through an apathetic private seller or a guardian gifting it to you, you could get one.

Also, it's a great gun for snakes and the like.
However, I wouldn't recommend it as a primary carry weapon.
Obviously it's better than nothing, but it's better for snake duty and as a back up. That being said, Bond Arms Derringers are of excellent quality and come with many options for calibers.

No.
Get a LCR in .22lr and put 5000 rounds through it.
>small
>lightweight
>cheap to shoot
>easy to carry
>>30972482
yes, my friends dad has a ton of them, and i have shot one of his once.
>>30972488
did i not specify that i was in snake country?? name one Glock model that is chambered in .410 shotgun shells
>>30972501
exactly, im just gonna take it for camping and stuff.
>>30972525
For light camping duty that's a great choice. Round out your kit with a good takedown rifle or carbine like Kel Tec Sub-2000 and you'll be set!
>>30972513
i should specify that i am left handed so revolvers dont really work for me.
>>30972542
Wat. Why not?
I'm right handed and I can probably shoot better left handed than most people can shoot period. It's just a learned pattern.
>>30972567
He's probably referring to the direction the cylinder pops out
>>30972628
training issue. I doubt he'll be doing speed reloads anyway.
>>30972647
True, but I could see why a left handed shooter might want to avoid that if possible.
>>30972542
that's hardly a reason to give up 4 to 6 round
>>30972476
>5'6"
I'm sorry, little guy.
