What's does K think of lever actions. I kind of want to get one but would like to be able to shoot a rifle round. I know browning makes the blr but 4 rounds is eh.
Any other lever actions that use a box mag?
What is the maximum effective range on the henry repeaters with a 20"barrel in a .44?

I like them. Fun plinkers and they can obviously be good if you carry a revolver of the same caliber. if you got the cash to blow or want something other than a bolt action I would say grab one.

Winchester 1895. They were made in .45-70 and .30-06 for the domestic market, and 7.62x54r for a contract to Imperial Russia for WWI.
How good would they be for home defense?

I plan on using it for HD, plinking and maybe medium game hunting. Would it be worth it to get a browning blr and try to have it modded to accept a bigger magazine, or would getting a regular henry .44 fit the role

Winchester Model 94 Trapper master race.

I have a marlin lever action 30-30 from the 60's ( in very good shape ), an old .300 savage that kicks like a mule and a lever action 22. I like taking them out to shoot. They're fun. They're pretty accurate too for being iron sights. DESU, the 30-30 is on my list of guns to grab in a bug out situation. Cause it shoots straight, it's light and it packs a good punch. Ammo isn't as common as it once was though :(
