How often do I actually have to clean my Vepr 12

Generally whenever you want to with AKs. It'll eventually fuck up if you never clean it though.

Clean it after every shot, once a month, once a year doesn't matter just clean it whenever you think about it.

Experiment with it OP. Just clean the barrel after shooting it each time but leave everything else untouched, and see how long it goes before a malfunction. Then you get to say "it went X,000 rounds before it got so dirty it wouldn't cycle" or whatever issue

Also I shot my SKS and AK and .38 revolver in January, still haven't cleaned them, mostly because I'm a lazy, lazy man who doesn't enjoy cleaning my guns like the rest of you seem to. In a fucked up sort of logic I always seem to clean my guns just before I shoot them and get them dirty again

I bought my Makarov about this time last year, put a box and a half through it, haven't shot it since, still haven't cleaned it. But then again, all 3 are Russian, and meme or not they aren't exactly known to be delicate weapons. I think they'll be aight

pic related, last time I cleaned guns, over a year ago (I tend to baby the AR for some reason, even though it's never malfunctioned, in my head it's more delicate than the rest)
