Okay, so maybe you can get a gun with a thicker grip if you choose but I have large hands too. I can play a chord on octave on the piano one handed and I prefer 9mm sized frames which are pretty small and my edc is a single stack 9mm, a Walther pps.

Don't go so small as a Glock 43, but don't worry too much either.

Get a polymer frame in 9mm or 10mm.

9mm is easier to handle
10mm makes things deader.
ignore the numbers, if you see the complete bullet+shell assembly (a round) side by side, there is a large difference.

If you are hands are bigger, consider looking for what is called a "full size" If you want to Conceal Carry aka CC, go with a sub compact unless your body mass is enough that you can hide a larger gun on your person. Longer fingers dont mean much when shooting. I have long fingers, but I can still wrap my hands around a little pistol.

Try out a shotgun or rifle with a regular stock rather than a pistol grip. Some grip tape might be all it takes to keep your hand a little extra far back so your finger feels right on the trigger.

You can get something like this for most any type of long gun. Not sure what to tell you for pistols though.

I'm a dude with big palms and long fingers and all I can say is that it's a learning curve. Any firearms I can reasonably carry on or off duty are gonna pretty much be palmable and it's hard to find the trigger with the right part of my finger even after plenty of training.

Which, in a close encounter won't matter, but still. Look for something with a long enough length of pull and a grip that situates the gun best. I shoot revolvers best, despite carrying a semi. The curvature of the grip and the gun away from my hand helps.

But I'm not gonna necessarily recommend a revolver.
