What is the worst and I mean the absolute worst configured pistol for law enforcement you could possibly think of?

Is the Beretta Px4 Storm a bad gun?

Dutch Police revolver that Ian talked about a while back with the retarded gas gun idea.
>>30943530
No. It's only bad if it's anything but a 9mm G variant. If anything, it's criminally underrated.

LEM and DAK guns don't seem too bad to me.
More standard DAO guns without the lighter trigger are the ones that I find fucking suck shit
>>30943405
Why would you ruin a perfectly good P226 with a DAK. It's like chopping Seabiscuit's legs off and forcing him to race wiggle through Churchill Downs
>Beretta M96A1
>>30943405
I own a 226 DAK. I got it for 300 with night sights so I figured I wouldn't mind the trigger.

>>30944206
>Beretta 96D
I remember reading on a forum once how apparently a Beretta rep at a gun show was claiming the DAO Berettas were prefect for law enforcement because "you can pull the trigger halfway and hold it there so you can quickly shoot the guy if you need to"
Competition 1911s in .38 Super
1911 with .22lr conversion
.38 hammerless k-frame with 10" target barrel

>>30944228
For $300, I'd be happy with that shit. How are the night sights? But seriously, for that price it's fine. You can always convert it to DA/SA.
>>30944231
Double action, DAO, DAK and LEM are so fucking fucky in the marketing department and that alone is a testament to it.
>double striker capability
>staging double action triggers
>ever
It's fucking scary how this shit is actually taught. By any chance, do you have the link to that?

LEM is great, what are you even talking about.
>>30944033
If I was a weaker person I would've fallen for the bait, nice try though.
>>30944346
Decent. Still usable in low-light, but not super bright anymore.
I haven't found a good write-up on the conversion, but I can't imagine it's very hard. I'll source the parts sooner or later.
I carried a Glock for work for along time so double-action is kind of nice and familiar. The trigger pull is really heavy, though. I would be happy if I could just lighten it up a bit.

You could always buy different weight mainsprings but I would wager it's more of a training issue. This guy Earnest Langdon shoots M9's and PX4's competitively and knows his shit about double action with some good pointers on DA pulls.
Got pics of it? I'm somewhat curious to see how your $300 Sig looks like.

So many NDs lol
>mfw Stalin never purged the red arm, >they got the TT and killed themselves with nds
>>30944596
I feel like a 17 lb trigger would make NDing staggeringly hard
Also standard pistol doctrine at the time was to carry without a round in the chamber
Copfag here with many coworkers who have DAK Sigs. They all shoot well with them and I, who shoots a lot of revolvers and carries a DA/SA duty gun, don't think it is bad.
I argue the worst service gun is one that is forced on everyone. Departments should have open and specific duty weapons policy and not force people to carry a weapon they can't shoot well with.
My department policy is anything Beretta, SIG, H&K, Glock, Springfield, and S&W that is DA/SA or Striker, has minimum 10 rnd mag, 9mm .40 or .45, > 4 lbs trigger, and maximum 5.5 inch barrel. Will be adding Walther, CZ, And at the end of the year. I carry a 92 Vertec right now.
>>30944699
>I feel like a 17 lb trigger would make NDing staggeringly hard
And guess what would make NDing and hitting bystanders staggeringly more unlikely? Actually training your police force and giving a shit in the first place.
On an unrelated note: I think we can all agree that we can add a limiter on everybody's car that makes them only go 5 mph so they don't crash ever. Anyone agree with me?
>>30944595
His story is basically me. I was a striker Glock fan boy for ever until I realized with a little practice and trigger time that I am much better at shooting DA/SA guns. With enough dry fire practice holding sights on a small point and picking a gun that fits your hand well and your trigger finger, anyone can shoot well with DA/SA. I feel like a lot of people gravitate twords Glocks out of fear of first pull.
>>30944776
>I feel like a lot of people gravitate twords Glocks out of fear of first pull.
Exactly. People are really apprehensive of the idea of two different trigger pulls. And even then, you get people who shoot DA/SA like what Langdon mentioned in the video, staging the trigger or even worse. Only shooting it cocked.
I might be talking out of my ass but I suspect this is one of the driving reasons of the popularity with the CZ's in particular on /k/. CZ's have the ability to be carried on SA with the safety on like a 1911, a luxury the Sig and Beretta generally does not have.
I actually find the transition from DA to SA to be genuinely fun.
>>30944561
You can send it to SIG and they will do it for a price.
>>30944595
I shoot just fine with it, it's just a preference thing.
I don't have any pictures on my computer, unfortunately, but it's in way better shape than I expected when I first saw it at the shop.
If I remember in the morning and this thread isn't dead, I'll throw a few up.

>>30943722
I've owned both types of these guns
LEM is so based I've converted all my HK's to it. I don't know why I love it so much, but it has won me over completely (USP, USPc, P2000).
>silky DA pull
>not heavy enough to disrupt sight picture
>very stackable for those long shots.
>easy from full reset
>has a close reset that isn't bad
DAK is boogers. Fastest I've ever sold a gun. Got a cheap 226 from cdnn, and finally bailed after the 3rd range trip.
>Long, but slightly lighter DA pull than standard Sig
>resets in 2 spots
>close reset quite heavy
>long reset not bad
>skipping that first click flies in the face of all the shooting I've ever done.
>>30944228

They''ve been selling cheap DAK's for a while. I tried one, but just didn't like it.

>>30943405
My range had an NYPD glock with the 400lb trigger and it was the worst things ive ever shot. Couldnt get more than 3 rounds in a grouping and even those were sloppy
Id honestly prefer DAO or even DAK and I hate those
>>30943405
>>30943530
people who love it say shit like "it's perfectly fine if you don't shoot it too fast" and the frames crack.
