Some 1:9 barrels can handle 77gr and some can't. I suggest you try different loads and find the heaviest grain bullet that your rifle can shoot without keyholing.

You push the scope towards the muzzle while you clamp it down, because the recoil pushes it that way.

Midlength is the "proper" length for a 16" barrel because no one has ever heard of changing gas tube diameter. It looks silly, but it grows on you. Only benefit is possibly less recoil (as if an AR in 5.56 had any anyways).

AKfag answer is who gives a shit its all the same, and they all work. Its not like an AR bolt is ramming against a buffer, it floats in a tube for gods sake.

There's a term for this type of round and the specific issue with it but I forget.

In my experience it just hasn't been consistent ammo, like 3MOA on a good day, 4 or even 5 MOA on bad ones where M193 was shooting solidly 2MOA

M855 is the Green tip 62g Ball found basically everywhere.

Its also called SS109 or just "Green Tip"

It has a soft steel "core" which is (((theoretically))) supposed to aid in pennetration, however, it is a slower round than M193, which actually ends up being worse at penetrating steel, and is also worse at Terminal ballistics, or doing damage to soft targets.

M855 has more of a tendency to "icepick" right through soft targets, which is certainly not what you want when trying to kill.

Hey, I talked to that LGS I mentioned the other day about their partnership with CMT, and they asked if I'd help them piece together some lowers for them in exchange for a low serial # receiver set from CMT.

They also said they'd have 4-5 Fostech triggers coming through later this year and possibly some pre-installed in their lowers.
